Have been using shockwave and CBL with good results. gaining 0.15 #/day of lean mass and losing about 0.15#/day of fat.

I am seeing a lot about actors that are able to workout twice a day and put on about 0.3#/day lean mass (i.e. Henry Cavill for superman).

Could CBL be used in the morning after a work out and then later in the day?
    i.e.
    1. coffee/fat pre work out drink
    2. Lift in the morning
    3. Insulin spike with carb and protein
    4. gear down to veggies, protein and fat for 8 hours.
    5. coffee/fat pre work out drink
    6. afternoon work out
    7. carb back load until bed with protein.

Does the fat burn resume after blood sugar comes down from the morning workout and insulin spike?

    Thoughts?

Many people train twice a day. Unless both of your sessions have serious intensity, you don’t need the carbs after your first session. Backload at night.

I would stick with backloading at night, but you can try with some fast acting carbs (10-20g) in the post workout shake. Carb shock does contain some carbs, and it’s recommended to take carb shock post workout even on ULC-days while on carb nite. I like to add some caffeine and HWC, to get the spike down faster after the AM-training.

Thanks Viking. That is my same thought. The carb/insulin spike is required for growth. so trigger it. get the insulin/blood sugar down. hormones normalize? work out again, then in the evening weights -> insulin spike, carbs to replenish glycogen for the next day.

Totally agree! Also I think that the carb spike aids better recovery for the next workout later that day. I tried to workout in the morning and skipping the carbs in the post workout shake, it feels less then optimal for building muscle. I kinda loses the fullness in the muscles, and that’s a bad thing, even when leaning down. Yea, the hormones normalizes pretty much as insulin is back to normal (low).
