Robert WyattParticipantDoes anyone know where Kiefer gets his cherry turnovers? The only place I know to get some is at Arby's, and I know they don't sell them by the box there. Since Kiefer has referred to eating a “box” in the past I figured he probably got them elsewhere.

Adrian CaronParticipantMy guess would be the Pepperidge Farms turnovers, they'll be in the freezer section, near other frozen desserts/fruit.http://www.campbellfoodservice.com/details.aspx?code=329

Bakery section. If there is a Whole Foods, that's my go to for cherry turnovers.

I was just glad you didn't clear them out at paleoFX, I'm a sucker for blueberry turnovers.

El-ApacheParticipantI looked at those Pepperidge Farms turn overs, I was so tempted to get them, but I didn't because it had High Fructose Corn Syrup.

Do you eat normal sugar?
May 2, 2014 at 4:57 pm #215856
El-ApacheParticipantYes sir. I just try to eat things that don't have HFCS on my carb nights.

There is more or less zero difference in sugar and HFCS. So if you avoid one you should avoid the other. Or if you eat one you should eat the other.

El-ApacheParticipantWow didn't think there was harm in it. Thanks! I'll read up more about that.

I'd say industrial sucrose and HFCS probably are equally harmful.. but who knows really.. not really the sucrose or fructose itself just all the extra crap that sneaks in from the processing...

SpatzModeratorAny good resources on this new information? I would be interested to read some of this. I try and stay away from regular sucrose anyhow, but this is news to me that they are equally bad.

not really anything new.. but for example check out how much aluminum is in processed meats and many other processed foods and dairy. Chemical extractions and processes used to handle and extract many compounds used to make many of the pre-packaged foods leave trace minerals and other things behind when done. Now if you only eat this sort of stuff sparingly most likely you would never have any problems but many people eat nothing but heavily processed stuff.. When people live off frozen dinners and cookies not only are you going to deprived of essential nutrients but you are exposing yourself to all sorts of things the body is not able to handle when that much is ingested.. The latest podcast has some good information on the importance of micro-nutrients and long term health.
