I'm currently on day 6 of the prep phase… Can't wait to get started…I have a question. Considering that the program is relatively new, what are your guys thoughts on the long term health benifits, and problems with this. I realize that Kiefer states in the book that his trial runs have had no noticeable blood work problems, and I see that if it causes a drop in body fat than that is a good thing. But what about cholesterol? Does eating a high fat diet coupled with never eatig low glycemic carbs and replacing them with "junk food" going to be healthy over the long haul?I'm totally going to do it right now eaither way, but I'm just wondering if anyone that has done it correctly and has seen a negative side affect with blood work and cholesterol? Or has it been mostly positive? Thanks
its not like you _have to_ eat junk food all day long…its just that you CAN 🙂and i mean, if you look at the standard diet of a regular dude today it cant really get worse - and they all live into their 70s 😛
I was wondering the same thing. I always maintained a diet low in saturated fat because saturated fat = bad. This diet, however, is ridiculously high in sat fat due to coconut oil, HWC, Butter, bacon, and fatty cuts of beef. I need to go get my levels tested.
Saturated fat from good/right sources is not bad. Sorry, but it just old school thinking.Grass fed beef, butter, cheese, also good quality coconut oil (extra virgin expeller pressed, organic) are not bad for you. You also can eat plenty of fish on this diet I think. My major concern about this diet is eating so much sugar:) But again, you don't have to
