CptSmashMemberHas anybody tried using cinnamon to lower BG in the early morning portion of CBL? I've been using cinnamon for a while now in my coffee, since there is no cream or butter where I am at currently.http://care.diabetesjournals.org/content/26/12/3215.full?maxtoshow=&HITS=10&hits=10&RESULTFORMAT=&fulltext=cinnamon&searchid=1&FIRSTINDEX=0&sortspec=relevance&resourcetype=HWCITResearch says that it can help lower both BG and Triglycerides. Thoughts?

I used to use cinnamon extract pre-workout ... this was long before learning about Keifer. There is a highly potent extract called Cinnulin-PF, which is a little more expensive than standard extract, but a lot more effective.Cinnamon was GREAT for leveling out insulin, and preventing spikes. Whereas, post-workout, I used things like Banaba Leaf Extract, Gymnema Sylvestre and ALA... which increased insulin spiking.I also used to use cinnamon whenever I ate a shitty cheat meal, and felt like dying (during a "cut"). The cinnamon pretty much instantly had me feeling better, and lessened the crash.I would be interested in hearing Keifer's opinion on Cinnamon.

CptSmashMemberYeah, I've been using it in the ULC portion of the day. It seems to help quite a bit. I've measure my blood glucose levels for two days and there's hardly in a noticeable spike in the morning, even while eating eggs and bacon for my morning meal. And it drops really fast. I have about a 30-45min turn around to baseline.

I know my body pretty well, and have learned to listen to it, and feel its reactions. I felt stabilized / leveled (after gorging on carbs) while using Cinnamon, and I did not experience the typical crash. This was all Pre-CNS, using standard Bodybuilding diet protocols, and especially during "cuts".There were times where I'd feel like utter $h1t after a binge meal, but would pop a Cinnamon Extract, and in 15-20 minutes, felt noticeably better. That said, I have not tried using Cinnamon since beginning CNS.Cory
