This would be a "cleaner" CN IMO. I define a "dirtier" CN by having fat with carbs through out the night and having them early on.

adibuenoMemberIMO?i remember kiefer saying don't worry too much about fat later on the nightjust eat low at the start , but that again is not a must

In my opinion. It isn't a must at all. I think it depends on how easy you lose body fat. I have had some dirtier CN's in the past with fat the entire time and even beer. I don't think it set me back at all but I know I didn't lean out as quick as I do with the "cleaner" CN's.

CBachelor17MemberDirty CN is Pizza, Burgers, Fries, etc. White Rice and Cereal would classify as clean. Ice Cream is probably more of a “dirty carb” but overall that is a much “cleaner” CN than most.

This. I mainly thing the terms have just gotten outta hand. I think the original definition was around the types of ingredients that the food was comprised of.

CBachelor17Member^ That is part of it. Homemade or Mom-n-Pop pizza place rather than boxed and frozen. Fresh (again Mom-n-Pop) donuts rather than Krispy Kreme. But that was the original term- And why i believe it is now only part of it. Keifers views- and CN'ers views have changed with the insight of not only fat loss- but longevity as well. This being sought by using "clean" carbs as meals such as white rice and chicken, rather than half a pizza or a bacon cheeseburger for example. Just recently Keifer emphasized that fat loss will be slowed (maybe not stalled) by eating fattier (and "dirtier") carbs.

Richard SchmittModeratorKrispy Kreme is a good choice. It's freshly made there if I recall correctly.

i wouldn't even say that.. kiefer has some new research to suggest the fat during backloads probably isn't even an issue.. i'd just avoid stuff with tons of processed vegetable/nut oils and ingredients you can't pronounce..

never seen him recommend it as the bulk of your backloads or to have it every single backload much like pizza, ice cream ect ect he says you can use them but i have never seem him say it should be what you eat every single backload

Krispy Kreme is freshly made in a factory, then put in boxes and shipped to stores and gas stations. They also use partially hydrogenated vegetable oil rather than fresh cream or butter. Hence again the recommendation for a mom-n-pop or local bakery. Or even better homemade.

CBachelor17MemberJust recently he was talking about CN on one of the new emailed videos and talked about a doctor who ate a bunch of Oreos on his CN. He than says that his fat loss would have been better if he had not done that.
