February 4, 2014 at 3:16 pm #212162
CBachelor17MemberYup 6-8 days depending on if theres something social i can enjoy by taking it early or late. Otherwise just 7.

samuel r walkerParticipantWord. I dont see much purpose in more than 1 weekly refeed while on CNS, considering how lean u both are and it poses no problems for u. I just started CNS again after christmas, doing 2 bls a week, so u could say more of a CBL/CNS hybrid, approx 2-400 g/carbs per bl.. Doing 5x5s 6 days; didnt notice any fat loss to speak of, but I noticed some size increase. Gonna dial it back to 1x week tho

CBachelor17MemberI can dig it. Im just doing it because my activity level is low right now. This last week i was back in the gym and hating it because no carbs. Now I've tweaked my shoulder so probably one more week of CNS. I will say though my 1 reefed a week is only about 3-400g carbs.

samuel r walkerParticipantSadly Ill likely have to drop a leg day, which no one wants to do

Why would you need to drop a leg day? 6 days a week with one weekly refeed is perfectly maintainable.

I think that is a solid approach.

1-2 a week. Had a mid week BL the past 2 weeks and this past weekend I did a CN Saturday and just enjoyed some cookies Sunday night before bed.

samuel r walkerParticipantShit man I love the mid week/weekend refeed approach, it just doesnt work as well as I would like for fatloss.. Ill prolly switch back to it for the summer tho

If done right the weekend or midweek refeed should slow fatloss down much if at all.

+1 If your lifting heavy and hard even doing every other day backloads should have pretty good results. Thats when i saw the biggest increase in definition honestly. This requires you to know your body well enough to adjust your macros on a daily basis.

samuel r walkerParticipantI had my macros at around 120-140g/p and 110-120g/f daily. Sat was 2-3 hr bl after a heavy full body routine at around 300-400 g/carbs. Wed was the second after squats and sumo deads w one meal at around 2-300 g/carbs. In addition, 4 other heavy sessions mainly consisting of 5x5s. I felt muscles getting real full even w only 2 refeeds, but no noticeable fat loss.. What would u change? Figured I just drop down to 1 big refeed and reevaluate

Give your body more time to get use to the carbs and everything will start heading and looking right. My first 2-3 weeks of CBL didn't seem to be going well body comp wise but when that 4-5 week rolled around things looked way different and better.
