KRISTA.RNKeymasterWill the “drained” feeling every go away? I've done this for two weeks.I drink coffee throughout the day, and carbs are between 10-30g a day. Workouts are 3-4 days a week, I can't muster anything more.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorWhat's your total fat and protein intake? Also, any idea on sodium and potassium intake? You need more when on a ketogenic diet.

KRISTA.RNGuestI am not restricting calories or fat. I cook everything with coconut oil. My coffee has it in it too. I am liberal with it.My protien (since that's kind of my "option" for food): two handfuls of nutsone or two hamburger pattiescheesetwo eggs, maybe three2 T of peanut butter for a treatsometimes fishother stuff:a whole avocadobroccoli, green beans, spinach, tomato, mushroomsa cup of milkMy appetite is predictably decreased. I have started eating three times a day.Not a whole lot of weights there for a more accurate description I guess. Maybe I could start weighing it.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorI would track macros for a bit just to make sure you are eating enough food, also maybe add some salt to your diet.

plaquexMemberThrow out anything except for:eggsbacongrounded beefcoconut oil (the only plant fat that you want tbh)kerrygold butterulc veggiescoffeeAnd eat enough. I love cheese but somehow it feels like that it kills my progress slowly when I add it to my diet and it also takes a while to "recover" from that. Also my skin doesn't like it at all.

smessengerMemberSame feelings here… energy level is OK for work and short workouts, but i end every day really drained. Eating lots of salt. No clue about potassium.

tzanghiParticipantI always notice an increase in mental and physical energy after having a good amount of MCTs. But you said you use lots of coconut oil, so I'm not sure why that wouldn't work.

FairyGuestIf you are doing CNS stop exercising too much!!! This actually stops you from being able to burn fat. I was just reading a study on it.Take your exercise down to twice a week. Keep intensity moderate. Always add MCTs and butter to your coffee. Make sure your vitamins are in check.

+1 Everyone forgets this. Kiefer has a WHOLE chapter in the book about how you don't need to work out!

FairyGuestAlso, if you want vitality, take a look at the info on this website: BulletproofExec.comI'm implementing all of his protocols (they coincide with CNS 90% of the time) and I'm REALLY pleased with the results.

BigunGuestOkay, let me get this straight. You shouldn't workout that often while on CNS?I have been doing the Shockwave protocol which is five times a week and I have been doing two HIIT cardio sessions per week. Between this and the FB gram or calorie ratio I'm confused as hell. Any help would be appreciated!

Its not a necessary to workout while on CNS. It diet is really focused on fixing your body to burn fat without exercise. Its more important to see progress by getting the diet right, then possibly adding in exercise. Shockwave is good for CNS, but its more important to get the diet right.
