AdamFiddlerGuestAmong other things, some epidemiological studies have shown that coffee but not green tea is associated with increased levels of the recently discovered fat-burning hormone adinopectin. (One of these studies is literally titled “Coffee but not green tea…”) As far as decaf goes, the huge huge problem with decaffeinated coffee as I understand it is that it strips the coffee bean of it's natural defense against fungus and the toxins they secrete (known as mycotoxins). In addition, there's a lot of stuff out there on huge mycotoxin levels in most coffees anyways unless they're processed in certain ways. A wet-processed single source blend of Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Kauai Coffee, or Dave Asprey's Upgraded Coffee at http://www.bulletproofexec.com seem to be the three cleanest sources out there in terms of mycotoxins, mold, etc. and some it's pretty nasty shit when you look at the data. I've also heard it claimed that coffee is the single most concentrated source of antioxidants on the planet, but that's kind of an ill-defined statement and I haven't verified it or not. Don't know if iced coffee is compatible with your religious standing, but perhaps?-Adam

Without getting into the doctrinal reasons behind it, it's actually not but it's all good, I'm planning on making my accelerator shake without the coffee and just use caffeine (200-400 mg, I'll try to figure out what amount feels the best for me).

McLeod2012MemberIdk if anyone is still interested in this thread but I've used gum and water and it suppresses it better than nothing. If you don't like coffee.

Lasse ElsbakParticipantGum contains sugar alcohols though, which shuts off any ketogenesis and fat burning. Not so good in either CNS or ULC portion of CBL.. =/

McLeod2012Member…….looks like I won't be chewing gum anymore. Haha. Good thing I've only done it for three days.
