crossfitter changing to CNS- having to alter WOs

    Hi-I'm on the 5th day of "reorientation." I finally felt like working out today. For whatever reason, my shoulder has started bothering me a few weeks ago, so I am having to limit push ups, clean and jerks, and push presses  :- Because of these limitations (at least for now) I have to back off on overhead stuff. I am also avoiding cardio. My 'plan' is to do KB's (kettle bells are my absolute favorite thing ever, and TGU, snatches, and swings do not bother me, and I use big weights for a girl my size). HIIT with rowing 2x a week (maybe balls out for 30 seconds with a minute or 2 of recovery x 8 or so). Squats 3 days a week (I love squats) and dead lifts.It just doesn't seem like a whole lot of work out time. I'm worried that it won't be enough.THE QUESTIONS:Does this seem doable with CNS?Is it possible to combine the CNS and CBL if I am lifting heavy (for me- lifting heavy means I'm exherting a lot of effort and popping veins out in my neck.)?I am currently 5'7", 143, BF around 28%. I'm also 38 y/o. My goal is 8-12% BF, but I really want strength and am not afraid of more muscle mass (I'm not afraid that I'll look like a dude, don't wanna). Perhaps CBL will be in order later on down the road after my BF goes down.

The plan you have set up sounds pretty legit for someone doing CNS. If anything try the Stationary Bike or a CrossRamp machine with added resistance for the sprint durations. 8 bouts for women is perfect. THE QUESTIONS:Does this seem doable with CNS? Yes it does. Is it possible to combine the CNS and CBL if I am lifting heavy (for me- lifting heavy means I'm exherting a lot of effort and popping veins out in my neck.)? haha nice imagery. You can do a modified CNS if that's what you mean. What I mean by that is to have a set CN, like say a Saturday, then during the week at some point being random throw a CN in there. Just be sure to stick to a higher intensity/heavy lifting style like you plan to deplete those glycogen stores. Basically where your carbs get stored. I don't think you'll end up looking like a "dude" in any way unless you start taking horse roids...Like Vera De Milo...I hope you know what I mean. Julia Ladewski is a powerlifter for Girls Gone Strong and Elitefts while doing CBL and she is hella strong.
