"cutting" weight

    Anybody (fighter, BB er, power/weight lifter) have any expieriance cutting water weight ? Most Ive ever cut was 12-15lbs in 2-3 days. This time its closer to 20. Same day weigh ins…yeah I know it dosnt look good lolz.ps. sorry, didnt know where to stick this thread.

    What are you cutting from/to and do you absolutely have to cut that much?

    Around 186-7 ..maybe lower. Yes I have to unless theres another way to do it lol. I plan on a psmf type of fast as well if necessry.

    I assume you're cutting to 165 or 170. I'd do some searching around the forums and find a good water loading and dehydrating template. This is a really big cut and you have to be spot on with it or it could get dangerous. I wouldn't advise anybody to cut more than 10% of their body weight, but if you really have to then make sure you're really on point.

    I just re read and this is a same day weigh in. I would definitely advise you not to do this. It's going to greatly hurt your performance and could put you in the hospital. Please, just go up a weight class.

    Cutting 20 lb for a same day weigh in sounds really tough. But if you want to know how to do it, check out the Chaos and Pain blog. He cuts a lot of weight for his meets, but they are 24 hour weigh-ins.

    Thanks guys, Im going to try to bring down my total body mass as much as I can first before I start my water cut.If I have to go up a class, so be it. Its all part of the game anyway lol

    Nah its in about 2 weeks. Might have to switch to a PSMF starting monday.

    Just started water loading last night (3gals) and Im up in weight, but I heard its supposed to flush you out. My diet as been very light.Is it normal, or am I doing it wrong ?

    See where you are each morning. 3 gallons of water is a lot of extra weight. It's artificial and it'll come off.

    it was like thisSat(pre carb nite):182Sun:187Mon:190(started water load 3gallons +diuretics)Today:189(will be drinking another 3gallons +diuretics)Tommorow I drop it to a gallon of distilled water + diureticsThursday reg drinkingFriday...nothing + saunaSat hope for the best ! lol

    I wouldn't taper your water. Keep water high today and tomorrow then cut it off completely 24-36 hours out from the weigh in.

    so keep the water high untill about thursday right ? What about sodium ? Its allmost impossible to eliminate all sodium, so do you know if there's a baseline ? Also..should I switch to distilled water ?

    Wait, you are water loading two weeks out, or is your fight this coming weekend?
