Are the 10 day prep phase and 7 day periods between carb nights intended for somebody who isn't working out at all? I've heard that depending on your resistance training, the prep phase can be reduced to as short as a week, and that carb nights every 4th-5th night instead of every 7th night actually makes you lose MORE fat. Can anyone attest to this?
If you're getting up on stage, a CN every 5th day or so, while keeping it pretty controlled seems ideal. The ten days is for those who are starting both CBL or CNS. 7 days is the norm for CNS.
HIIT the day after your CN will help too. It takes only 20 minutes or so and will be a great benefit.RB
HIIT is the most efficient way to deplete glycogen. Another option is to have a high volume, intense resistance training session. Heavy Duty for CBL is an excellent way to do this. I would prefer the latter because I hate cardio haha, but if you don't mind HIIT, you can do that.
I use a stationary bike in my basement but a few buddies of mine use telephone poles as their guide. They sprint between 2 poles and then walk for 3 more, then repeat.RB
