If I were to be doing CBL SA to gain muscle, while losing some fat... not JUST trying to lose fat as a priority... should I strive for the 1:1? or just try to eat red meat, bacon, eggs with butter, sausage, etc?

I would eat less than 1:1.

It's pretty hard for me to have a 1:1 ratio during backload days more then maybe once a week. I just can stomach that many fatty carbs.

I think he meant when he is ULC.

I am stressing because I have only gained fat from my transition to CBL. Of course ive gained strength in the past month, but my lower stomach looks like im pregnant when im relaxed. I have my top 4 abs, but the bottom is just bloated everyday. I also just started a prep phase to try to restart, and 4 days in, I am gettin more fat around the waistline. Also, I am getting extra fat around the nipples.Been doing a 1:1 protein to fat ratio(grams) every day on ULC and try to get half my BW 1:1 on ULC portion of backload day. Any suggestions?

You could try adjusting fat to protein ratios to find what works for you.You could try adjusting the amount of carbs you are eating during a backload. It could be the foods you are eating, you could possibly be intolerant to something.

If you want to lose fat, I think the best way to do it is the following:Morning - MCT oil or Coconut oil in coffee (no more than one tablespoon, MCT is preferred) (optional nicotine gum)Lunch - ULC meal (try leaner ground meat like 90/10), get half your desired bodyweight in proteinPre-workout -  MCT oil in coffee, just like the morning (optional nicotine gum)PWO - get 40 - 50 grams of protein, preferably half from hydrolysate Backload (get at least another 40 g of protein)I think the best results for fat loss would come if you finish your workout at 3 hours before bed time.  If you do this you can either eat one very large backload meal or you can got the John Meadows route and start consuming your carbs in the middle of your workout.  I would also recommend that you do not keep the backload meal low fat so you are still eating enough fat for the day.  I think if you are eating backloads that have some fat, you shouldn't have any problem burning fat when you are ULC even though you are not eating very much fat at that time.

I'm sorry...I meant no offense by what I said. From what I've been doing is just adding fats (butter/coconut oil) to my eggs/egg whites and eating red meats. I don't worry about the 1:1 ratio. Just get 1g/lb target BW. Or close to .8g/lb target BW. I have dropped weight since doing so.

Thank you all. I will follow ibo's routine(I usually finish 4 hours before bed). I will also just try to hit my protein requirements daily without worrying about fat grams(besides the fact that I will eat only fatty meat, eggs, fish oil). I will cut out cheese and dairy. I have never had a problem with gluten, but might experiment to see if it is secretly bloating me. Another problem(awkward): Havnt quite visited the toilet too often with CBL. Could it be lack of veggies? Maybe I should take a fiber supplement?

Take 400 mg of magnesium citrate every night before you go to bed.  Take 200 mg of potassium with it as well.  This will allow your colon to function properly.  You see radically reduced your fiber intake, your colon isn't used to doing the work the fiber was previously doing.  However, I think it is a good idea to get around 10 g of fiber each day.  I just get mine from a couple sweet potatoes in my backload.  If you do these things your body should adjust in a week or two.

No, don't have fiber, and don't worry about veggies.Fat around your nipples . . . Are you sure about this? I mean to me, this would indicate something going very wrong hormonally. My advice to you is to upgrade the meat you're eating. Make sure you are going 100% grass-fed and organic, have butter, but not other dairy; avoid BPA, strength train and reduce carbs on CBL days, I assume you are doing SA? You might also want to consider cycling in CN.

Ive lost 50 pounds since May from cardio and dieting, and wanted to hit the weights with CBL(not a beginner lifter). I dont need to lose any more weight… I don't have a 6 pack but that is because i dont have much muscle there to begin with. I currently am 180 pounds 6'3″. i have good definition everywhere but my lower stomach. I want to gain muscle with CBL till around April before I go to CNS->Mod-CNS. I will follow this advice thanks all!

You are confusing two things. fat buildup around the nipples is very common, it has nothing to do with estrogen related gyno. Some people get it more, some less, but especially if you are/have been very fat as a male you get this easily.

I like this route because I can just eat pretty much whatever(not including dairy) in my backload. Do you think this will provide good muscle growth even thought the ULC is lacking fats?

Yes, I think if you consume a generous amount of fat in the backload you will still be using fat for fuel during the day.  The extra protein will keep mTOR, thus muscle growth, open.  I do think is important though that your protein when you are ULC comes from meat and not cheese/dairy and possibly eggs.
