apisula2000MemberWas just curious if it matters whether or not if you use coconut oil or heavy cream with your morning coffee. Does one outweigh the other? Thanks.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorCoconut oil has high amounts of MCT so it will promote ketogenesis and ketone mediate autophagy, cream is most LCFA and will not be available for energy for a few hours.Start the morning off with coconut oil and have cream later, or just mix the two.

Thats the way i was understanding it. I appreciate the response. So maybe just have the cream with the 2nd cup of coffee?

If your idea of a second cup is roughly what I equate to second pot, that would work.

LOL! You know, I have always been nervous I guess of drinking too much caffeine. I know Kiefer says he can't stress enough about copius cups (or pots). Is there any timeline you think I should wait before adding to another cup or pot or since i started off the morning with coconut oil, it won't matter.

Having another cup with cream or oil? 90-120 minutes?I probably have more caffeine in a day then most people do in a whole week.

Cream. I get the feeling you don't use cream, just coconut oil.

I use cream sometimes, but not often. It's to easy for me to go overboard. (liter + a day)I tent to use butter instead of cream.

CCTMemberI dont even let myself have cream. Starts with 1 tsb in the coffee, ends with a full pint jar of cream in my stomach.

Tracy JarchowParticipantInstead of cream, try a couple tablespoons of grass fed butter along with a tablespoon of mct oil and a little coconut oil. Blend it all up. Crazy good and good for you!

DerekcervaParticipantI just do both

SpatzModeratorI've weaned myself down from 1/4th cup of cream per cup of coffee to just one tablespoon of cream per cup of jo. I love cream, and dislike coffee. Its better now that I blend it all together but still… I miss my cream. Now I do .5-1 tbsp MCT (used to do 2 tbsp coconut), .5-1 tbsp KG butter, and 1tbsp cream. I'm still fighting with the MCT oil. 🙂

Richard SchmittModeratorHave you gotten into Coconut Cream Spatz?
