NsharpKeymasterI did the prep phase.. which Sucked! Haha, you really have no idea how much carbs you eat on a daily bases until you take them away! during the prep phase I lost 5 lbs, which was good because it came from my stomach! I've been able to wake up every morning and be able to see my abs, and my skin feels tighter!I'm now on day 3 of carb backloading.. I haven't noticed a big change with my body since i've been downing the carbs after my workout's.. Just wanting to know if this was normal, and maybe you guys could help me out!Tuesday- 6:00 2 cups coffee, heavy whipping cream 10:00- Whey protein 50 g's 12:00- 1 cup of cottage cheese, 3 tsps of olive oil, 3 slices of cheese, and ham. 3:00- 2 cups of romain lettus, 2 eggs, 2 tsps olive oil, 1 chicken breast, cheese. 5:30- 3 cups of coffee 6-7:30- Train 7:35- Whey Protein 50g's 8- CBL time, i ate 4 sushi rolls, white rice. 11- 1 brownie, and a bowl of ice cream 12- BedEvery day has pretty much looked like that, except for the backloading part. On wednesday after lifting i had my PWO shake, then ate at Zios.. I had about 2 loafs of white bread, and a whole 10 inch pizza. About 3 hours later i ate a cup of ice cream, 2 glasses of milk, and a brownie.Im going to start cooking more meat to consume before lifting.. But is this how i should be eating after i work out for CBL?

Lasse ElsbakParticipant10:00- Whey protein 50 g's
This will seriously spike your insulin, even if you eat a lot of fat with it. Not the best idea early in the morning.Besides that it looks ok to me! 🙂 You might want to have some carbs in your PWO shake though..

omar57Participantyea the 50g of whey in the morning is no bueno my friend, those two meals that you have before your workout is enough, but other than that it looks good

NsharpGuestThanks guys! This weekend i'm going to tweak my diet big time and have it mapped out! How much protein should i use so it dosent spike my insulin? Or should i just replace it with cottage cheese and a lean meat?

cheesemufflerMemberDo you need it? What goals do you have for your CBL? If you're on Density Bulking then possibly yes, but otherwise not.In the book the prescription is for never more than 10g Whey Isolate (to prevent insulin spikes), apart from around intra-workout nutrition. The answers you seek are in the book 😉
