Trevor G FullbrightModeratorI have no idea the differences in isolates micro filtered and so forth, which one do i want?
Honestly, if money is an issue... Get the whey concentrate from truenutrition. It's gonna be so much better then the BF stuff and after shipping the same or maybe cheaper.

DerekcervaParticipanti use this http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/body-fortress/super-advanced-whey-isolate.htmlmostly because i am a broke college student and its cheapi have never seen truenutrition but those are great prices!
I will say, BF is really crappy. There is some issues with them using cheap free form amino's to fudge the protein content that is actually in them.
also when you say this you mean it may be less than whats on the label is the quality of protien an issue at all though(still whey isolate) or is it that its in reality like 20g or something like that?

There might only be like... 10-15g of protein, the rest would be cheap aminos thrown in and because of some loopholes they can still claim higher protein totals.

DerekcervaParticipantok thanks man, would you happen to know the differences in isolates on tn.com? also is taking hydrolyzed whey isolate like a 2 for the price of one thing? since its isolate and hydrolyzed as apposed to taking an isolate and seperate whey/casein hydrolzyed supp?

If you only use it PWO, just get whey hydro, if you use it any other time get isolate.I personally get CFM isolate, but if money is an issue the cheapest isolate is fine. Even the concentrate is fine if money is an issue.

It's got some health benefits, but wont make much if any difference toward aesthetics. And yes, I use whey hydro.

dspence1GuestI feel your pain Tex. ISO 100 without anything was ideal – and truenutrition and protein factory cost a ton to ship out here to me.Going with Vanilla reduces the hit to 2g carbs, with 1g from sugar so a little less but not as good as before.Side question: What are you using for casein? Looking for something with recommendations.
July 17, 2013 at 1:47 pm #190631
Richard SchmittModeratorWell the ingredients don't contain actual sugar so I'd like to know where they're basing that macro off of. It contains stevia which is great but then again I only use it PWO. Regarding casein, I don't use it. The Hydro-Casein from TN seems ideal.

Just google amino spiking protein blends or something like that.Generally when it has a protein source then an add "amino acid blend" it's just cheap aminos thrown in to raise the total protein content that a cheap amino acid test to claim.

DerekcervaParticipantso if it says any blend of amino acids following the protein its cheap?good to know

Not always, but you are best off looking for just whey protein of some kind as the listed protein blend.
