GD69KeymasterNobody has brought this up, so I thought I would. These researchers are correlating egg yolks as being as bad for your heart as smoking. Shit like this is the reason I've stopped responding to never ending questions about my diet (CBL or CNS). I could care less about justifying it to others but when my parents believe it and decide to go vegan for “health”, my blood boils. Girls ask me how I got shredded and how to lose weight, I say cut out carbs and eat plenty of fatty meats/eggs. They tell me I'm wrong and reference this science…If eggs are bad for me as “smoking”, I must be the healthiest smoker alive!http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/health/egg-yolks-bad-heart-smoking-cigarettes-study-article-1.1138536Interested to hear everyone's thoughts.

jsmithMemberid like to see a study that compares an egg eating weight lifters heart with a vegans heart or anyone that doesn't eat eggs.

They ask how YOU got shredded, implying you are shredded... yet, when you tell them, they say you're wrong? Interesting logic they possess, considering the proof is in your physique that you did something right.Cory

Cory McCarthyMemberThat said, I don't condone smoking. It creates a myriad of health issues, and compromises fitness efforts.Cory

GD69GuestI do not smoke, merely a joke about the correlations of the researchers. Interesting logic to say the least but who cares about justifying it to these women. But when your parents are deteriorating in health, and then decide to go on an all carb, vegan diet, these kind of articles hurt your case in trying to help them even to go to something like Lacto-ovo, like you Cory. Me saying “Look at me Mom, I'm shredded! Listen to me and do CNS!” is irrelevant in convincing my parents in their 60's. Automatically when it says “study” and compares egg consumption to smoking, anything I tell them has no validity because I am only 21 and am not an M.D. Main point-Article=Frustrating

True... thanks to the media (and terrible articles), most arguments are a lost cause. If you can just get your parents to embrace dairy and eggs... they'd have ample nutrition. Eggs are the most nutritionally-dense food on the planet, and the growth factors eggs possess are amazing!Even if they won't touch eggs, how about cottage cheese or other cheeses (like Ricotta)? Even milk.Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian is do-able, heathful and maintainable. Veganism is thoroughly unhealthy, and don't get me started on Fruitarians!Cory
