I love to eat eggs, its my breakfast staple with bacon. The last 3 days I have been eating an overabundance of eggs. I have been writing down my meals and notice that on Monday and Tuesday I had a total of 7 eggs for the day. Now, granted the eggs were not consumed in one sitting and they were cooked in bacon fat. Is this ok? Should I restart the prep phase?

I eat 6-12 eggs a day depending on if I'm ULC all day or not.I just always pair them with fat and it doesn't seem to effect my progress.

Thank you for the speedy reply. Also, should I purchase coconut oil? Is it really necessary on this diet? I see that everyone uses it for the most part…

    It's highly beneficial.

I dont want to sound like a moron, but I probably will anyways. What is the deal with the coconut oil?

    #76476

It's around 60-70% medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) which are fast digesting and convert to ketones right away making them very thermogenic and can help you enter ketosis and give great energy during a keto diet.

would walking be ok for the CNS diet? How much walking a day could i do without over doing it?

    #76478

Walking is great, but don't do it for exercise or to get your cardio in, walk to be out in nature and unwind as much as you'd like.

I eat 21-22 eggs a day, and I also pair w/ fat.  No hinderance to my progress, either.Cory

Being Lacto/Ovo Veg., I eat my eggs with full-fat cheddar cheese -- often.  Again, no issues with loss of progress... in fact, I admired myself in the mirror this morning (pre-liquids)... at my dryest.  My abs are really beginning to come in.  Not to sound vain, or anything.  Just proud.  ;DShows that CNS works for Vegetarians who can consume dairy and eggs, too.  My log will give anyone the breakdown who is interested:http://dangerouslyhardcore.com/forum/index.php?topic=3144.0Cory

How long did you follow the diet before seeing real results?

Not sure if this was directed at me, but I began noticing results right at prep.  I hit a stall around the 3rd week in, only b/c 1:1 fat:protein was not right for me.  I tweaked (I based my diet on a diet in the CNS book, just vegetarian-ized), and my weight loss has been continual ever since -- that was months ago.I went from 228 lbs. down to my current 204.8 lbs., using CNS as a Lacto-Ovo Vegetarian.  My end goal is 192.5 lbs., which is about 10% bodyfat, and then I will kick back to CBL to get lower (single-digits) and put on more muscle.I have ~12.3 lbs. of fat left to burn, and I can technically stay on CNS for another 1 1/2 months (through mid-Oct.) before a required break.Cory

So where do you have your ratio if 1:1 PRO:FAT didn't work?  Looking for another tweak to my CNS myself as I am stalled and am not overdoing any of the usual suspects (only 3 eggs/day w/ bacon, 2oz. cheese/day, no Ace-K).
