TheDanParticipantHey guys, today my friend showed up at my door with 6lbs of Dymatize Elite Mass. He put it on my table and said Happy Birthday (with an ashamed look because he spent a bunch of money on supplements and stopped going to the gym after two weeks of half assed workouts.) Anyway,to the question lol. Elite Mass contains a ” Sustained Carbohydrate Complex ” which is made up of ” the highest long linear chain and very low dextrose equivalence available from Maltodextrin, waxy maze and oat powder. If I were to take this strictly as a post workout shake approx 4-6 hours before bed would it be in my system long enough to affect my night time GH levels? FYI Elite Mass has a total of 77g carbs 2g of which are fiber, 55g protein,a bunch of aminos and vitamins, creatine mono and krealkaline. Creatine values unlisted. I was thinking about taking a half serving of this with a scoop of hydro whey added. I know this isn't optimal protocol for CBL I'm just trying to gauge how bad of an idea it may or may not be. I am not currently competing as a bb, just want to look good and stay strong.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorTaking it PWO you should be fine. It's got enough High GI stuff in it that oats shouldn't affect insulin spike to much.

Should have said so earlier! Considering the nutritional content, and how relatively cheap the stuff is for such large quantity. Any particular brand you would recommend Naomi?

Good news for me 🙂 Thank you. If anyone is looking for a really good mass gainer sans the creatine, Real Gains by Universal is excellent contains whey and micellar casein, 84g carbs from maltodextrin, 10.29g l leucine, 4.46g glutamine and some other goodies. Could be good to use when cycling off of creatine.
