Still 5 or so hours before bed and I'm hungry again.Anyone else had this? Something to do with grehlin increase from the carbs? Been like this since the moment I woke up this morning.Cheers!

thestiffmeisterParticipantYep, first day usually sucks, that's why I used to load up so much on sugary stuff I felt sick the next day. Took care of that 😛

ChuckMemberYea it’s a hormone called ghrelin, it’s persuading you to eat. The day before allowed ghrelin to revamp and now it’s heightened> coffee, should help blunt it.

zewskiMemberHmm, I actually have the opposite effect. Feel like I could go the whole next day without food. Interesting, either I'm not getting enough of a hormone spick from my carb nite, or my body's metabolism is revved up and using my bf for fuel (hope it's the latter ;D)

webbyMemberShouls I just eat to hunger like normal or fight it? Suppose 30-40g extea protein and fat for one day isn't going yo make any difference?

AdamFiddlerGuestStuff some raw Kerrygold butter down your gullet. Take it straight. Problem solved.

I am in the same boat. My caloric intake is always the highest of my ULC days, the day after Carbnite. I just go with it and eat just the good stuff.

AMtreyMemberyeah, I experienced the same thing. I didn't stuff myself on my CN and woke up the next morning so hungry!!!! In the end I kind of backloaded on the 2nd day back on ULC ( carbs were taunting me). Just did a session of HIIT to burn off the excess glycogen and get back on track on CN.Now I know that I should have stuffed myself on CN so that I won't get those crazy hunger pangs the next day!

webbyMemberMakes no difference for me. Experimented with 3,4,500g carbs. Went to 600 last night, was almost physically sick, had to fight to keep it down haha. I'm only 150lb at 5'6 but seems like I can eat an insane amount of carbs with no issues!

AMtreyMemberas long as you keep seeing results then just keep increasing it! Only gets more fun than the previous CN! ;D

JizzmoGuestI always have this after huge backloads. Real hunger PAINS in the morning… Im bulking with CBL though so i dont care and just eat, lol.Drinking 1-2 cups of coffee usually solves this for me.

Richard SchmittModeratorNow since I got to the point my stomach doesn't “hurt” the next morning, I actually get quite thirsty and start feeling hungry pains 16 hours after I ate last, so I get hungry around noon. So I eat normally. Dropping weight, losing BF, lifting heavy, and feeling/looking good for the past 4 weeks now 8)

CropsyMemberI also get the major hunger pangs the day after carb nite.Hey Tex, that's cool to hear you're happy with results. I just keep getting bigger and heavier since starting CNS but I don't think I'm putting on bodyfat so I'm happy enough. I have bumped to CBL two nights a week now (Wed and Sun) and am not taking in quite as many carbs as I did on my weekly CNS re-feed. Strangely, I had stopped getting the night sweats on my carb nights and then they returned on my first night of CBL (with less carbs).
