So looking to utilize CNS to drop 50 lbs in the next 14 weeks. My protein will stay 220-250 per day. Should I begin with the 50/50 fat to protein and work my way down or should I start lower. Like 50/30 protein to fat???? Any other suggestions welcome this is just what I came up with not sure how will this system would work with decreased fat intake, but I also know eating over 3000 per day will not result in the weight loss at the rate I am looking for.

Just make sure you get enough fat so you don't burn protein. I did CNS for 4 months and got headaches if I did not have enough fat. I tried to stay with the 50/50 ratio but sometimes it is real hard to get all the fat in.

So maybe lower protein and fat to maintain the 50/50 balance but still lower my daily intake? any input on this greatly appreciated.

Quote from: selah7 on January 08, 2012, 09:53:30 AM3. Does amount of protein need to equal the amount of fat on ultralow carb days? That's a useful "guideline" to follow, but it's not necessary. Just make sure each meal contains an appreciable amount of fat, so no typical bodybuilder cutting meals like fat-free chicken breasts w/ spinach.  (At least add a few Tbsps of butter to those veggies!)The above was taken from general discussion/questions and clarifications thread and the reply was from DHNaomi. You may have to tinker around with it to see what works best. 50 lbs in 14 weeks is quite a bit of weight to drop (IMHO). I only dropped 15-17 lbs in those 4 months but my measurements changed even tho the scale did not move much. Plus women (me) don't lose as fast as men. And if you are training you need to keep yourself fueled up. I was not training while on CNS. I only recently started training with weights. And the overall goal of CNS is to shred fat not weight loss as I believe it says in the book (although it is a nice side effect). You could try the 50/30 and see how you feel. And DHNaomi may have a much better answer for you than I do. Good Luck.

Not to shoot you down but 3.6 lbs/week will probably result in some pretty loose skin, depending on how much you have to lose. Yes I would do my best to dial in the 50/50 ratio I started out high on protein and the more dialed in I have gotten to that ratio the more visual changes I see in the mirror for fat loss. I am aiming to cut down to a very defined 6 pack, not to the point of seeing striations in the muscle but to the point of seeing a clean chiseled 6 pack. At about 10% I was still not seeing a 6 pack, this is the first diet I have seen visual changes in my abdominal area which is where I want to see it. I am figuring about 2 months on cns to hit that point. Of course you will have to tweak as time wears on. Just make sure you are not cutting cals as you do not want to chance shedding muscle. In other words if your hungry eat, I have not cut a single cal and have dropped 4.7 lbs already in my first week, mind you much of that is water/carb weight. I am looking forward to week 2 to see my results for real fat loss.
