CmoMemberDoes fasted cardio in am, HIIT, mean no coffee and oil/cream? When I do HIIT, I have the coffee/cream/oil. I kind of have felt that I need a diet break. I ate whatever I wanted for 4 days. Is that long enough to be on break? I was really suffering in the gym. Getting very lightheaded, even on accessory work. I figured a few days I needed to not worry. But I'm ready to get back on track. My plan is to do 9.5 day reorientation phase, then start CBL. Even though I've got about 20 lbs of fat to lose. I just lose so incredibly slowly (Honestly I truly struggle, and ought to probably give up even trying and just focus on getting strong), that the issues in gym probably aren't worth it anymore to do CNS. I have been reading CBL and will have a summary of how I read things, with questions. I train in morning.

CmoMemberSo, before my last carb nite, I weighed 168, which was a loss from when i started CNS around 173-174. The day after last carb nite (last Sunday), weight shot up a few pounds, I guess from water retention and food weight. But then it stayed up a few days, coupled with me having no appetite, and not really eating for a few days. By Thursday, it was still up, but working down to about 169. But then, on that thursday I had a carb fit, and ate carbs all day. Then until yesterday, I ate a lot of carbs. I woukdnt say I ate a lot of food, but it was all carbs. So 4 days of carbs, chocolate and rice krispies is what I craved. Today, I'm 175 pounds!!!! I hope this is all water weight. I know I couldn't have possibly gained 5-6 pounds in 4 days. I'm also pretty bloated.I'm so tired of trying to lose weight. But obviously I can't just give up for a while, not with a 6 pound gain in 4 days!!! I'm just tired of it. I've been trying to get to 165 since April! From around 170. It's absurd really. And no, I'm not gaining muscle while losing fat anymore. All my clothes fit the same, I look the same for the most part. I'm just so frustrated if you can't tell. Maybe I need to go on the elliptical for hours on end.

Zach516MemberI know this feeling. And I think you just need to take some time off. Also, realize that it is all water weight. You would have to eat an absurd amount of calories to gain that much fat. Since fat = approx 3500 calories above maintenance, you would have to be eating 4500-5000+ calories for 4 days straight, and that is not including that some of those carbs went towards filling glycogen stores, thermogenisis, ect. You are fine. I wouldn't be surprised if it went down if a few days. But honestly, you seem pretty upset. and if dieting is taking this much mental energy you need a break to reset. And don't spend hours on cardio, you'll just make it harder on yourself.

CoreyCavMemberIf you train fasted you can still have coffee, just dont add anything to it and you wont lose any of the hormonal benefits
