I heard Kiefer say, in different podcasts, that research has shown that “if you ate fat within the last three days, your body will release fat every time you eat”. Does this mean that starting a backload low fat and to possibly end it high fat, does not make sense? So that you could start the backload with that pizza?

he mentioned in a recent podcast he now believes it probably does not matter for most people

Okay, so it's not a bad idea to have a lot of fat entering the blood stream at the same time as you spike insulin 2nd or 3rd time on a backload? If this is the case I don't understand it right, I think.

Listen to James Abel podcast with Kiefer, he mentions is there. But no as it stands it doesn't matter.

I concur with everyone else.  I've experimented with the fat timing and it just doesn't matter.

To be honest i went like no fat during my backloads for quite a while and yeah i was still getting good results, but i noticed there was not a huge difference and i usually woke up looking better with some fat in the backload. Even those times ive left the gym and immediatley tore up food with tons a fat.

Okay, that's awesome, sky. Does all this about fat timing also mean that you can have high fat meals relative close to a training session, like an hour? I heard Kiefer say, back when also suggesting fat timing, that the last fatty ULC meal should be eaten 2-3 hours before training.

I mean you can eat right up until training if you wanted. Just know that fats unlike carbs to take some time to be digested and enter the blood stream. So if you ate a meal 3-4 hours before training and then another meal taking the last bite before entering the gym, you will not be using that last bite meal for energy during training for the most part, it will be the meal before that. Ive always had better training when i eat atleast 2 hours before, plus im not burping food during training as much and feeling full during training isnt that fun to me. I usually have 12oz of grass fed beef about 3 hours before training. The only fat i will sometimes consume right before is coconut oil since its fast acting. Plus if you take pre workout or anything, they will absorb faster/better without being dumped in with a bunch of fatty food.

Just like Bigguysky said, I personally wouldn't because of digestion.  However, you can handle it, it would be worth experimenting.

Was the podcast in an email? Is it the presence of glut4 that makes the timing irrelevant? I

Pretty much if you've ate fat in the past 3 days you'll be releasing fat as soon as you eat carbs so it makes fat timing a moot point.

Pretty much, although we don't really know how much fat is released from this phenomena.  Personally I think the old school CBL way is the best:  Focus on carbs, but don't worry about fat.  Meaning eating some fatty foods isn't a big deal, but don't add fat for the sake of adding fat.
