Was the podcast in an email? Is it the presence of glut4 that makes the timing irrelevant? I

Pretty much if you've ate fat in the past 3 days you'll be releasing fat as soon as you eat carbs so it makes fat timing a moot point.

Pretty much, although we don't really know how much fat is released from this phenomena. Personally I think the old school CBL way is the best:  Focus on carbs, but don't worry about fat.  Meaning eating some fatty foods isn't a big deal, but don't add fat for the sake of adding fat.

Agree 100% and x1000 on old school CBL.

+1 @scope…the book is good stuff.I've been doing the protocols for almost 2 years and the fat just doesn't seem to matter...

I've been on them for a little over a year and I'm with you on the fat doesn't matter. With that said when I do a 8hr CN I'll still keep it lower fat for the first half just because its such a long time but during a backload I just eat what sounds good and I don't let fat keep me from something I want.

To be honest, and +1ing to what is said about the fat, it doesn't seem to matter as much anymore, I really think the lower fat in the beginning was a tweak to do continously enjoy carbs longer without satiating in the beginning during the CN, a backload doesn't/shouldn't matter now. It is a bit more relaxing to have whatever in the beginning, and notice no difference.

Kiefer has said a few times he was just wrong/not enough info in thinking fat timing mattered so its not a mod just something that he found to be not correct. Now I still think its good to get some fat in to end the night so your body has fuel when all the carbs are cleared to keep you going hypo.

Yes sir exactly, I agree as well. I tend to pass out quickly when I have a fatty carb haha, so the lower fat in the beginning is a nice "opener" to the evening. I believe there was an article about it as well thus the mentioned tweak. Again more information and data is brought to us everyday, so I understand where this is going,

No, backload like normal evening prior to an AM Session. The new RTR Podcast mentions that very quickly, to just backload.

Am trainers BL the night before or the night of the am session. Fat timing won't matter either way.
