Age 29. 5'5″ 135. Goal of 130. The closest gym access I have with actual weight machines, etc. is 45 minutes away so I'm looking for a good home workout. Does anyone have any ideas? I currently use some dumbbells, but am lacking any direction. I'd like a routine to follow.

A good start would be to download the Shockwave Protocol and Max Capacity apps. They're free and easy to follow, also can often be done just with body weight.

Holy smokes, I'm out of shape. I just did my first day of Max Capacity. When I first looked at it I thought it would be a breeze, but it was tough.

The one arm overhead stuff will be a good challenge for the core if thats what you are into (:

I know right! I thought the same when I first downloaded it but if you really give it a good go then you can wipe yourself out no worries. I'm now able to do one Shockwave Protocol routine followed by a Max Capacity routine. I also fit in 3 rounds of HIIT before both of those and all without feeling like I'm going to die. So I'm proof that it gets you fitter and quickly too if you put the effort in.

I'm going to give the Max Capacity a week or two and then try the Shockwave and MC back to back and see if I can handle it. All I've ever really done in my life is distance running and basketball. I have enjoyed reading up on why women should look to weight training, etc. over excessive cardio. I always felt “skinny fat.”
