GeorgeCKeymasterHey, I've been doing CN on an off for a year and wanted to get your opinions (big tex and the like) on what I do on a typical day. Any additions? Subtractions?Breakfast: Coffee w/ MCT oil and grass fed butterLunch: 3 pieces of bacon, 4 eggs(omega 3), handful of spinach (cooked in coconut oil) orLunch: Italian sausage w/ green veg (brocoli, asparagus, or spinach salad)Dinner: Ground beef, bacon, sausage, and/or porkchop with some cheese and a green veggie. Some times a spinich and/or romaine salad w/raddish, red peppers, blue cheese, oil based dressing.Coffee before I work out. I work out in the evening during the week.I work out after my breakfast coffee on the weekends.Post workout shake: 2 scoops of whey protein iso, 5g of luecine, 5-7g of creatine, 1 tbsp of MCTDrinking lots of water all day: couple servings of fiber in the am and then in the pm.Condiments: yellow mustard, SrirachaAnything I'm missing?

Richard SchmittModeratorI don't see a problem with any of this. As long as you're getting enough protein and fat for the day, and stay under 30g of carbs a day you'll be more than fine. Stick to the basics, if you begin to stall take a few things out an re-assess

GeorgeCGuestI'm 6'3'' 350ish about 30-35% body fat260 for me would be pretty ideal. I've been lifting weights for most of my 20's so I've got a considerable amount of muscle. Cutting has always been my issue.

Your a pretty big dude - doesn't seem like your eating that much food though.

Richard SchmittModeratorOh! Now that makes a bit more sense. Like I said before with getting enough protein and fat! Now a good ratio to shoot for if you want to track a week to get a feel of how much you should eat, would be .5g Fat per target BW and 1g Protein per target BW. You can up protein if you want also for fats. But that is a good ratio to work with.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorAt a higher BF% he really wont need to need as much because his body has more stored fuel.If you don't feel like you are dying and getting really weak then you're likely getting enough food.

kcarolhxwParticipantThe real question I have is, how much progress have you made? Are you still 360 lbs since last year? That should tell you whether or not you need to change anything.

lillywhitesMemberfor the post workout shake I don't see any carbs. Without glucose, is the protein and aminos able to work in rebuilding and growing muscle tissue?

Yes, protein synthesis should occur.
