Gambit217MemberHi, hope somebody on here can help out with a couple of questions. Couldn't find a definitive answer searching older posts.I've been doing CBL since January & have seen some decent gains. I'm thinking of switching to CNS to try finally get rid of some excess body fat. I want to make sure I don't lose any of my hard earned muscle gains so I plan to still train weights as much as possible. Maybe 3-4 per week. I'll aim to train the days after my Carb Nites when I've enough Glycogen. Gonna up my dietary fats to try reduce muscle breakdown & reduce volume if needed too.My question is what kind of PWO shake should I have on CNS? I've read no more than 25g Protein, 5g Leucine & 5g Creatine. Is this correct? I use MyProtein Impact Whey. It's only got like 1.5g of carbs per 25g scoop.http://www.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/impact-whey-protein/10530943.htmlAlso, I plan to train weights during the first few days of ULC Prep Phase, should I have the same PWO shake during the Prep Phase? ๐Any advice or guidance would be so gratefully appreciated here. Thanks!

Gambit217MemberHey mate, been doing the SA on CBL up until now, saw some fat loss but it stalled recently, cut my backloads down to one meal the last few weeks but having read CNS i feel like it could benefit me more and would suit my schedule a bit better.

This question HAS been discussed on the forums, facebook page, and various other places. But oh well. Stick to a ULC PWO Shake. Whey, Leucine, and Creatine. The protein you have will be fine. Those carbs won't do you any good, it's just there for the "sugars", with the insulin spike you'll get regardless from the shake it'll prevent any catabolic properties.

Gambit217MemberThanks Tex, your input has always helped me out in the past, any other tips for preventing catabolism on CNS other than upping fat intake, training days right after the re-feed and lowering volume later in the cycle? As i said, i dont gain size easily so i really wanna hold on to it as best i can whilst on CNS. ๐

Before you jump into CNS, check your ULC nutrition as well.ย You're ULC numbers do matter quite a bit on CBL.

Brandon D ChristParticipantAs far as your PWO shake, what you have laid out is fine.

Agree with this. If you have stalled in fat loss, quite simply you aren't in a deficit. You can try upping your TDEE or lowering calories further.

Gambit217MemberThanks again for all of the input guys. Am going stick with the CBL SA protocol for a few more weeks, haven't given it enough time to really kick in i think, got a bit impatient and was tempted by the thoughts of 6-8 hours of carbing up on CNS! ๐ฎPretty sure my ULC portions are fairly spot on, have upped my daily fat intake to help boost the ketones, using coconut oil, kerrygold butter and heavy whipping cream throughout the day also. Bulletproof coffee in the morning, then bacon & eggs for breakfast, then mainly beef & chicken for lunch or dinner with fibrous veg. Carbs on ULC is next to nothing too, also taking Physilium Husk for added fibre.I'm sure i'll get there, just have to keep at it and train hard. Being exceptional was never gonna be easy! 8)

breenhouseMemberSounds good to me mate, are you counting calories?
September 12, 2013 at 12:06 pm #202163
Gambit217MemberNo havent resorted to counting calories yet, i dont have a problem eating the same things day in day out and at the same time so i know my macros in terms of grams of carbs, protein & fats. But the actual amount of calories i've never really looked at. Do you count them yourself?
September 12, 2013 at 12:30 pm #202164
OurkoParticipantMay be you can stop psyllium, it can have some adverse effects like inflammation andย stopping fat loose.
