So basically I am starting CBL
I train 5x a week and plan on doing 2x a week of carbs at night
I plan on making one of them “cleaner” and the other a little bit “dirtier”
So for the clean one would this be alright:
Either oats and whey or some rice/sushi etc with a banana.
Then maybe a sandwich or some pasta. (white flour ok?)

    What do you guys think?

Oats aren’t a good carb source as they are too low glycemic.

What exactly are your goals? Short term and long term.

Why are you only consuming carbs 2x a week when you’re training 5x?

Eat high glycemic carbs like prescribed in the CBL Book.

Fat loss for now. Plan on getting bigger once I am lean.

Big Tex, do you recommend keeping it “clean”?

I don’t like the term “clean”, but I do recommend whole foods if you have a hard time controlling yourself. However, you can certainly lose fat while still eating pizza and desserts. It’s just a matter of how much.

If I were you, I’d drop your training frequency to 3 or 4 times per week and backload after every workout. The truth is, unless you are very advanced, you probably do not have the ability to fatigue yourself 5 times per week. CBL works best with highly fatiguing workouts, and you will likely get more muscle growth and strength gains by lowering your frequency.
