BallSoHardMemberI have been CBL density bulking for almost 3 months now and have gotten great strength gains, as well as putting on weight without gaining much inches. Im now looking to transition from DB to SA, for SA, if i understood you just backload on training days ? and days of no training you ULC. unless back to back rest days ? (which i never have) Or is it backload night before training? and don't backload night before a rest day? I have read both answers are correct so just thought i would put this out and get a straight answer for myself.

Gl;itch.eMemberWhy?Yes in SA you only backload on training days in general. But again why would you go from DB to SA? If thats you currently in the picture you are already pretty lean.

Im about 175 and that was my goal weight, in Febuarary i was 158. So i think i want to maintain my weight while dropping some BF% I'm about 10-11% wanna be like 7-8% while keeping my strength where its at.

To drop lower than you are I would actually suggest you keep your carbs where they are. Try removing some fat from your ULC part of the day. Maybe even extend the fast a little. Im fairly convinced to go from lean to ripped, daily carbs are necessary to keep the metabolism up high enough to allow for fat burning. The leaner you get the quicker the metabolism tanks IMO when you restrict calories. Try it for a week or two and see.

Tyler StephensParticipantAgreed some people believe they need a more strict diet when trying to get really lean, but when going for that low of bf% it's better to eat closer to maintenance/more carbs and take the slow approach.
