During the preparation phase, or after the 10 days when you begin carb-backloading, when if any are the best times to have some fruit like bananas, berries, and oranges?? Thanks

The book shares some information on fruits. There not ideal due to the high fructose content. Also a Tubecast and multiple discussions have been made regarding fruit. Super ripe bananas are good, and some grapes.

Thanks for the info and the video guys!! I used to be a big fruit as a snack eater, so it's been a big change cutting it out.

I lost a lot of weight when I was on the CarbNite. Then I started Carb Back loading and stayed the same weight after around a month I introduced fruit into my backloads and the weight loaded on quick (fat gain). So I would use fruit sparingly. Now I am back on CarbNite trying to lose the fat I gained. So odd that peaches, cherries, pears, apples, and oranges made me gain all that weight. But hey I had to try.

If you listen to superhuman radip podcast week or so ago, they have dcientific studys saying 10g of fructose combined with glucose actually increases glycogen resynthesis so fruit it up until you see it does what you not desire

Fruit is better than the sugared crap (Sucrose/HFCS). I wouldn't be afraid of it. Apples are not what makes people fat.

However, Kiefer does not recommend it on Carb Back loading. I would consider in better for CarbNite considering its once a week. Also if you don’t eat Fruit try to get in an adequate amounts of Vitamin C, especially for recovery purposes. You will start to notice easy bruising and that will tell you, your vitamin C levels are low.

Maybe there's something to this because I swear I get better results when I eat some sugary crap instead of just starch and dextrose.  However, I think you are better off getting your fructose from donuts, not fruit  😛

That's because most people don't carb backload.  What about fruit makes it better than what you call sugared crap?  Sugar is sugar and I'd rather choose a food that produces a more ideal insulin response than an apple.

Fruit is essential fructose and fiber.Sucrose is 50% fructose.I don't see how you can say one is better than the other.

For us apples are completely useless (unlike a donut, or even ripe bananas), it doesn't give you an insulin spike.  For the average person who is not on carb backloading, yes, I would recommend an apples over donuts as long they aren't fat or have blood sugar issues.  If they did they shouldn't be eating carbohydrates at all, except once a week or so.

Like I said, I got great results eating fruity pebbles, and doughnuts. When I introduced fruits like peaches and apples I gained weight. Ibob doesn’t fruit go straight to the liver and get broken down? I remember Kiefer saying something like that…. That’s why its not optimal.
