You know, I am starting to get increasingly frustrated here. I think that it is obviously my fault, but I do not know where I messed up. Maybe my fat intake is just way too much. But When I weighed myself last Saturday morning dry, I was at 130lbs. I have a feeling when I weigh myself tomorrow, it will be higher. I feel like I have put on fat instead of losing fat. The whole point of this diet! I am thinking that maybe I should get rid of anything within my diet containing carbs period, which would mean no more eggs and no more bacon probably- except many once or twice a week. See if that can start everything moving in the right direction? Or better yet, maybe I should fast all week so that my body has no choice but to use up my fat stores and just take in some coconut oil…. This is where I am at right now and I really just want to flip out. I am not asking for much, just want to rid myself of some slight muffin top and lose the fat on my arms...I am a 28 year old female, 130lbs- dont really exercise much except one maybe twice a week. Other than that it is fasted walking...

Yeah, you need a break from dieting at all. This is some pretty serious mental stress that shouldn't be part of dieting. You have no evidence other than a “feeling” which isn't a good reference point anyway. Calm down, and weight to see what the metrics say.

Ok, I will calm down and collect myself, but it is pretty frustrating. I definitely feel like I am doing something wrong. I think that I may be eating too many calories, sometimes I just eat because I feel like I didnt eat enough food for the day, but who knows…

No measurements on composition or food intake mean no one can help you. Help requires knowledge first.

Stop weighing yourself. Go only by the looks. And take up some intense weightlifting and/or HIIT instead of fasted walking. Other than that, what are you eating and how much, what does your training look like, sleep, stress at work/ with the family.... All these are factors to consider.

Ok, well usually I start the morning off with coffee and coconut oil. Usually I will fast anywhere from 12-16 hours depending. Sometimes, I am just not hungry. Also, I am used to fasting for 24 hours twice a week. For meal one- it is 4 eggs scrambled in in tbsp. of butter with 5 slices of bacon.Meal two - the same as meal oneMeal three- 2 chicken thighs with 2 tbsp. of butter.Meal four- the same as meal one and two.I usually only try to do HIIT 1-3 days after carbnite. Also, I do not have access to a gym and no money to buy gym equipment so weight training is really not too much of an option. I mean, I have 10lbs weights at home, but lets me real, what is that going to do for me? Not too much.I just to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night. I am not stressed, but sometimes, I can depressed easily, especially in the winter time.

is there any real issue with the fasted walking? it's not going to tax the CNS, it won't deplete muscle glycogen, and if you're weight training it's a good way of getting the blood flowing and thus speeding up recovery.plus this dog ain't gonna walk itself!

I don't think there is an issue with it if you do it ON TOP of what you usually do, but if you count fasted walking as some kind of "training", you have a problem.Walking doesn't do anything besides what you said, get the blood flowing a bit. It doesn't burn a lot of calories, does not improve your endurance or strength. I walk a lot because I don't have a car, but I don't think it does anything to me besides getting from A to B very slowly, lol.

Seems like you are eating an awful lot for not exercising. Try only having two meals a day.

I agree with this. Based on my calculations you are eating WAY too much food for your size. You are eating almost 200 grams of fat per day.4 eggs=20 grams1tbsp butter=12 grams5bacon strips=25grams2 chicken thighs= 20grams2tbsp butter=24 gramsthen multiply all the above x 2 and you get 202 grams of fat per day!!!!!!!!!!  This is INSANE.Cut this in half.  I guarantee you will lose if you cut this from 4 meals to two. And I would say since you don't lift weights fasting is ok because your not worried about gaining muscle. If your last meal is at 9 or 10pm, then fast for 16-18 hours, just make sure you have some coffee with coconut oil and some heavy whipping cream, but limit this to 1tbsp each spread across a couple of cups of coffee at the most.  you will not lose muscle fasting for 16-18 hours, I will gurantee it, you as long as you are eating some fat before 12-14 hours, and eating your LBM is protein per day with the fat as I laid out.  MAKE SURE you are tracking your food in a diary because if you under or over eat and dont track it you will not be able to pin point possible areas where you need to make changes.

You think? I plugged your meals into myfitnesspal and it came up well over 4000 calories. It sounds like the combination of fasting and overeating is making you miserable. My suggestion would be to stop the fasting and cut the amount of calories in half. Also even though everyone loves bacon and eggs, you'll probably want to try some other foods as well...

What other foods are you thinking? I will try to just have eggs and bacon for breakfast and other foods for lunch and dinner. Should I aim for 1,600 calories to start to see if that does anything for me? I guess I should be aiming for 130/130 for P:F ratio?

But remember, when I say fast, I don't mean cut out all calories for 16 hours, You should make sure to get some HWC and coconut oil, at least 1tbsp each in your coffee before hitting the 12 hour mark. This will keep Mtor activated and prevent autophagy from kicking in. Taking in the fats, in the words of Kiefer "allows you to get the benefits of fasting without the muscle loss."

Yes, I understand completely what you are saying. I am just confused because I do have the skinny fat thing going on which I hate. Cookie said that I should focus more on building muscle and not fast anymore. I dont know which way to go, I really dont think that I have much muscle…
