HI all….I am feeling frustrated with Carb Nite and I know that a lot of people hit their point of frustrations with this diet and then are successfully able to move on...but  I am just getting frustrated with this whole combination lock of trying to figure out what will make this successful!I am on my 4th week of this plan and have seen ZERO results.  My weight is the same as when I first finished reorientation (actually about 2 pounds higher).  MY pants and clothes are just as tight as they always have been and I am seeing zero progress of this plan.I did do a BOD POD last week, so I suppose I can go back in maybe 2 weeks to see if there is any progress. Here is what is confusing. I was under the impression I didn't have to do any hardcore exercise on this plan, so I have been doing HIIT about twice a week and weightlifting 2-3 times a week.  Am I supposed to fast in the morning even if I can't workout until the afternoon? or is the fasting only relevant when I am working out in the morning?  My lean mass was 110 or something so I was told to eat between 110-141 of protein:fat, which I have been.  My carb nite was on Friday and I had sushi, pizza, 2 donuts, a piece of cheesecake and a hot pretzel at a football game.  I DID drink one beer that night, and on the very next night (a non carb nite) I did have 2 vodka martinis and a half a beer.  I dont know if that is affecting me negatively or not!?  Can anyone offer any thoughts on what I may be doing wrong?I DO like that I am never hungry on this plan...however the fact that I am seeing ZERO results is starting to make me waver!!! :-[

Having only coffee + coconut oil + 200 mg of caffeine for breakfast really speeds up my fat loss.I think you should at least wait until brunch time before eating. The first 3 hrs of the day is the prime fat burning zone thanks to cortizol. You don't want to go and ruin that by eating

Can you give us a little more detail on what your eating during the day and the times your eating? Also, what are your current stats?  You should try to fast for the 12-14 hours, its not mandatory but can help. A little more info, and I'm sure we will be able to help. p.s. I would wait for a BOD POD until you start feeling a little different, 2 weeks is a little short.

Also for about the last week and a half I have only been doing the coffee in the morning and then not eating until lunch around 11:30-12:00.

I always start carb nite the same and that is with sushi.  Then I had 2 donuts and a piece of cheesecake. THen I had some pizza and I finished the night with a warm pretzel from a football game.  I DID indulge in a beer this carb nite and some alcohol (2 martinis and a half a beer) the VERY next night.  They were dirty martinis so there was no mixers in them…and I could accept having limited progress this week due to indulging in the alcohol this past weekend….but I have had no progress any other week either, without indulging in the alcohol!

How's your stress level? You did do a full ten days correct? Also did you come off another strict horrible diet?

I would do a few things. Take out all alcohol for your CN! Also, maybe tone it down a bit, it seems a little high! I dont know how much you weigh, so I cant tell if your eating enough, but it doesn't seem like you are. Try taking out all cheese this seems to stall a lot of people. Male/Female, weight, height, BF?

Do you mean my Carb Nite food seems a little high?  or my consumption of alcohol? 😉I am a female, 5'8, 196lbs.,  my body fat was 44% :-[, so my lean mass was like 110lbs and my fat was 86lbs!

Also, the breakdown of my food on carb nite is about one specialty sushi roll, and 2 pieces of pizza, 2 donuts, one piece of cheese cake and one pretzel.I thought that seemed relatively normal? but maybe too much junk food?

Oh jeeze I thought it was all you can eat sushi, a whole pizza! You could probably do more damage honestly. Try to take out the cheese/almonds in your daily meals. Stick to fatty cuts of meat and some veggies. Also, take out the booze! See if anything changes! Shoot for the same meals at the same time each day for a whole week!

Ok, I will try to see if taking those things out helps.  If that doesn't help I am at a complete loss as to what to do then?  I mean is it possible this diet just doesn't work for some people?

Take out all dairy. I literally only sprinkled some shredded cheese on my eggs every morning and stalled for like 2 whole weeks. I took that little bit out and the fat started melting again. I then decided to try heavy whipping cream and boom I stalled again. I have since taken that out as well and my fat loss is back to normal. It may take like a week or two for your system to get back because that is what happened to me after the HWC. Also only drink like once a month….. at least until you get down to where you want, even then you shouldnt drink every week, but you can at least correct things and get back to normal if you start gaining weight back.

I am not stressed out really at all.  The last horrible diet I did was HCG and that was from May 2011 to about October 2011 on/off.
