I figured I would get around to this discussion. Havent been too concerned with muscle growth lately. I have been gaining while TRYING to focus on fat loss. So I figured since it is winter time I can get away with adding some more muscle. An idea I had a while back when I saw talks of taking carbs pre workout(not sure where on DH) was to use this http://www.orbitnutrition.com/cart/southland-performance-glycomyx.html. Kind of curious how it would work plus it is fairly cheap to try.I am going to try and get this http://www.orbitnutrition.com/cart/gaspari-glycofuse-3.7-lb.html instead though. I am a rep for the store. Already placed my order but I have been able to adjust it before.

damn you Mikehr you've really been tipping me towards purchasing glycofuse with all that enthusiasm. I've spent the last two weeks trying to find a supplier of raw HBCD powder to add to my flavoured HWPI with little success so far. I might give glycofuse a try after all though it is a little pricey. Have you tried a hydro/vitargo mix intra-workout? Vitargo looks even better on paper and I've seenit being recommended by Meadows as well (before Anaconda came out and he started pushing the HBCDs).Cheers mate.

Haha just speaking the truth Jason its good stuff! And vitargo is a lot more expensive for me as its not supposed to be in Canada as it doesn't pass our supplement rules for some reason, so I would have to pay my own shipping charges for it and retail is more as well. How much is glycofuse for you? Its only 50 retail here!

I went to a store looking for Glycofuse but they didnt have it. They did have Carbonx by VPX. Figured I would give it a shot. Wow I have to say I am impressed. Yesterday did a hell of a leg workout and didnt have a slowing down point. Usually when it comes time to do hams I am wearing down and have to really grind through it. Added 10 pounds to my stiff leg deadlifts and did them like nothing. I am guessing fatigue had slowed my progress down before.Anxious to give Glycofuse a shot. Got in contact with the owner of the online store and he will be shipping it out to me.Also whatever you do dont get the chocolate. Didnt even check the flavor before buying it(last one). Seriously considering returning it for that reason alone haha.

haha yeah I could see chocolate being pretty over sweet! Btw how many HBCD's does the VPx product have per scoop?

It isnt so much the sweetness. Just doesnt mix well with my vanilla protein and fruit flavored BCAAs. I stick with vanilla because it mixes with most flavors. I am guessing the Glycofuse will better compliment the other flavors. It is a blend of HBCD and Hydroxpropyl distarch phosphate(food starch-modified). So there isnt a real way to be sure, but it is 40 grams of the blend.

Notice that Hydroxpropyl distarch phosphate is listed as the first carbohydrate ingridient in VPx so I'd stay away from it, it's likely that there's very little HBCDs in it.

+1 I was just gonna say that, the ingredients are listed in order of the percentage that is present in the mix, glycofuse has 25g of HBCDs per scoop for 100 calories so its pure HBCDS no other added carb source

Vitargo is near $100 for 27 serving tub here in Aus, that's $3.70 a pop! I get my dextrose for around $8/kg.  Vitargo sounds like its the shit but a those prices sounds like the supplement companies are laughing all the way to the bank. Reminds me of when creatine 1st came out

I am also from OZ, luckily though being in the supplement industry I get vitargo at cost.I'd love to experiment with some HBCDs but unfortunately Anaconda can't be brought in at this point in time and glycofuse will only be out here in 2 weeks or so (though can always be individually imported).Ever since I've started experimenting with intra-workout protocols I feel like my workouts are absolute kick ass, every single bloody one of them and my recovery is absolutely through the roof. This could very well turn out to be the best investment I've made towards performance in the gym.

Another bloody aussie aye? Good to see. Anyway yeah expensive stuff considering im already using Hydro-casein, intra-workout, that would be a $100/kg workout drink. Cheaper to go and buy some prop! Still im a sucker for things like this so will probably trial a small tub  ::)
