tlfoxyMemberYes or No?I am having some joint stiffness and I picked up a bottle of this stuff. I have heard good things about it. The only problem that I see is it has a carb count of greater than 2.5 for the recommended serving of 2 per day. Any thoughts would be great.I know that I have room to spare in the carb department as I am usually around 15 per day. Sometimes less.

nickl413MemberIt works wonders for my 14 y/o dog but I don't see any difference in taking it my self. Fish oil made a big difference in my joint comfort as well as backing off on the frequency of weight lifting.

Cory McCarthyMemberI take it, as studies show it can be effective. The one supplement for joint health and rehab that I HAVE noticed major effects from, and so have other athletes I train with, is Cissus Quadragularis. I've been on the $h1t since 2010.http://www.nutraplanet.com/product/uspowders/bulk-super-cissus-rx-100-grams.htmlIt repairs soft and hard tissue, it also works peripherally as an anti-catabolic, and anti-estrogen. Apparently, it can relieve hemorrhoids, too (according to the Thai).I have had pretty bad joint injuries, clicks and pops from heavy lifting... within DAYS of taking the first dose of this stuff, the issues were pretty much gone. Other athletes have had the same experience, while healing from bad sprains and common breaks. All of my buddies are martial artists, and some lift. It has worked with a broken thumb, severely sprained wrist, and severely sprained ankle. For me it worked with repeat shoulder clicks and pops, plus pain in my elbow from heavy lifting, and joint impact from full-contact fighting and pad work (Kyokushin Karate).Cory

tlfoxyMemberThanks for the reply guys… I am going to give the G.C. a shot, because I bought a 20 day supply. But the Super Cissus Powder has piqued my interest for sure. And, it is cheap to boot!

No problem.I recommended the Super Cissus RX, b/c it is the highest potency extract at the best price point I have found.Other brands make Cissus products, too... but, prices vary, and extract potency varies.I use the product I linked. It is grinded plant powder... but it doesn't taste bad, to me. Not easy to describe, but no need to cap. Just stir well, as it can be a bit chunky in the water. Remember, this is a grinded-down plant, into a powder, not a straight-powder such as BCAAs. It has inconsistencies in texture.Cory

Totally welcome. It isn't a widely known supp, b/c it never got the national attention of Glucosamine, for instance. That said, it is pretty well-known in the athletic world, or at least gaining some momentum. FLEX did an article on it in May 2008, and I began using it in 2010.If it doesn't work for you, nearly instantly, I will be surprised. Everyone from my dojo has thanked me for introducing them to this, as if I had saved their cat from tree! HAHA.Def. let me know how it goes.Cory

I hope it works for you, as it has others.I know it must be hard to be away from the fight game. For me, I love fighting ALMOST as much as I love lifting, even though I've been involved in fighting for FAR longer (started Okinawan form Karate in 1989, and started lifting in 2009).Cory

Sounds good. I noticed with a few days, as did a buddy of mine with a broken thumb. In fact, most people I've turned onto Cissus have noticed differences within the first week of use.Cory
