Hi all! I'm brand new here…I've quietly been reading the forums for quite some time now, bought CNS and am loving everything!I guess I should probably go to the "noobs" place and intro myself, but I do have a quick question...I am gluten free. I have to be. I have been gluten free for 2.5+ years now. I'm wondering if there are any other gfree'ers here? I'd be curious to know how you structure your Carb Nite? I have another tonight...Thanks!

I'm thinking about going gluten & dairy free (except butter) for health reasons.Ice cream and doughnuts would be out though 🙁

Don't have to take those out completely. I'm not sure if you can find these, but Breyer's Lactose Free Ice Cream, Arctic Zero Ice Cream, and Kinnikinnick Foods Gluten Free Donuts.

Oh I do ice cream for sure! Most are gluten free. My entire blog is about gluten-free and usually very low sugar and carb free as my clients are other digestive girls like me:)I was just wanting to connect with other people here who either do CNS or CBL and are very strictly gluten free!

I am also gluten free, in terms of grains.I chew a lot of gum and I've heard their could be gluten but I don't stress about the incidentals. It's the grains, and even coffee(caffeinated) that affect my digestive system. I don't do dairy and haven't for over 20 years for same reason. I haven't yet posted my newbie bio, but I have made a few posts regarding my training situation post surgery. I've worked with Kiefer and know CN pretty well. I've been gluten free for many many years. For my CN I make all my treats. Ha! Actually I make all my meals myself! I've been making Sweet Potato Pies for my carb nites, and  with a tweak in the recipe, using quinoa flour and rice flour, make the same, but more cake - like- a sweet potato cake! 🙂 I have also made sweet potato brownies with homemade coconut frosting. Del-ish too!. Recipes are coming soon. Each pie or tray of brownies has about 75-100 gr of net carbs and are made with rilose, which is like dextrose. (So they are also great for smaller backloads during the week for women). The pies also have about 40 grams of protein so I'm able to get in the remainder of my protein for the day or almost all of it if I skimped earlier.I'm about 126-128lbs or so and I find that I don't need huge backloads on CN. I make one of these 7 inch pies, and I'm seeing great results, getting my body back in shape after 2 surgeries. I eat til stuffed and that's about a pie, more sweet potato while I'm patiently waiting for pie to cook, and about 2-3 oz of dry glutinous rice, which I make into the rice pudding eaten after the pie. I also  make a smaller brownie in a mug to top it off.  I also don't limit my coconut butter, which I make homemade in many flavors. And for the last 2 CN's I've used more coconut butter, as well as dumped it into the recipes and I've been leaner the 2nd day after carbnite now for the past two weeks. Interesting, it's Always the second day!! I believe it's the extra coconut butter later into  the night of CN, the  effects of MCT oil  I'm assuming.Usually before my CN of potato pie feasting I have a turkey burger,a couple hours earlier, along with some mixed veggies like broccoli and spinach; As well as my earlier meal after my workout.I'm a former bodybuilder/fitness competitor/triathlete and have always maintained a lean body. I'm using CN to get my digestive system back in order after the 2 surgeries. It seem to be helping. I've been doing modified CN's since Kiefer wrote the book 7 years ago, as well as small Carb Backloading for the past couple years with some guidance from Kiefer, tailored for the cycling  and other activities that i was doing.Hope this helps! What is your blog? Would love to read it. Especially regarding stomach issues. I'm a Fitness trainer and wellness coach specializing in fat loss. I'm using Kiefers books and protocols as a template for my coaching. It's working well.

Hey allI've been remiss in checking the forum so sorry for not getting back to the responses. I'm starting a recipe blog, but for now putting them at my blog which is http://www.yourfitday.comI will also post them on the DH FB page and Kiefers page. If you're already my 'friend' then you'll see them too. I have a LC pumpkin pie and tartlettes are coming soon.I've been experimenting more with my gluten free flours. I try to stay away from all grains but rice, but do use tapioca. I'm trying to stay away from sorghum for some reason, I don't know why!My pies and muffins taste good to me. The are crusty, but the insides are not getting cakey. More like a pudding. These are for the CN, not the Low carb muffins and pies. So if you don't mind then I'll post them, but they are really dense and creamy inside!!Please keep nudging me! to get my recipes out. I'm hoping for a recipe a week.I highly advise the pumpkin pie. And just throw in some dextrose for a high GI for a CN!Hope this helpsBig Tex: I train in Oakland, ca. That's how I know Kiefer. He helped me quite a bit. Known him for 12 years. I know CN from when it was a baby!! WAs a huge promoter of his in our gym and around town and with all my clients before it took off. Now I'm promoting both books on my blog and starting to get following from FBMy first Powerlifting client for CBL just won her first powerlifting meet. this past weekend. We started out on CN then switched to CBL. I think she did a 265 squat. She weighs 165! We are not focusing on lean yet. Just strong! I'm so proud!!Inbox me and let me know what you all would like me to work on for recipes?chocolateCrunchySpicySweetCreamyUnami!I will do my best to come up with stuff.Indicate for LC or CN eating fest!Happy Trails!DebbyK!

I saw this on Groupon today; http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/Slim-Pasta/13227838?nlp=&CID=UK_CRM_1_0_0_325&a=1664Have you guys ever tried their products?I bought some Shirataki noodles a while ago - once you get past the fibrous odor (washing them helps) they aren't too bad. A bit slimy, but if you are craving pasta they may be worth a go, especially on offer?I'm just about to start a new topic to ask if anyone else has ever tried them.
