I saw this on Groupon today; http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/national-deal/Slim-Pasta/13227838?nlp=&CID=UK_CRM_1_0_0_325&a=1664Have you guys ever tried their products?I bought some Shirataki noodles a while ago - once you get past the fibrous odor (washing them helps) they aren't too bad. A bit slimy, but if you are craving pasta they may be worth a go, especially on offer?I'm just about to start a new topic to ask if anyone else has ever tried them.

HI RussiB!Yes, I have used them in stir fry and soups. The better ones are the Sea Kelp noodles. You still have to wash them. They are made from seaweed so a little better for you maybe. But both have no real nutritional value. Just filler. But it's fun to slurp and quells a craving! There is talk about them on the DH FB page. Check that out. I've been eating the Sea Kelp for about 6 years or since they've been out on the market.Kay,Ferg, Kat, Big Tex(Richard S?) and anyone else I  left out!:I'd love to chat. Friend me on FB.I've been eating like this for 20 years. I also have protein pudding I make that's ULC. If any of you know how to do graphics or put up blogs on WP please message me. That's really my biggest obstacle. I have all these recipes but I want to make my current blog more fun and easier to navigate, as well as make a dedicated Paleo gluten free website. I already have a cool name. I also am planning a muffin recipe site that's dedicated to muffins that can be eaten as a meal, no guilt!!Also, I don't do CBL right now. I did backloading last summer before my hip surgery, but not true backloading by Kiefer's book since i was also doing cycling and needed protein in the AM. But it worked. The main thing is that I was pretty ketogenic most of the time and used carbs generally post weight workouts. If I was going cycling(which was only once a week outside) I normally still ate fat and protein in the AM before my ride, usually about an hour but less than 2 after I woke up ,and would bring some yam and omelet and nuts on my ride. Always carbs after workouts. I've always felt better with no carbs in the AM, even before I met Kiefer and read his book. I generally, over the past 20 years had kept carbs to post workout, however I never had a problem eating them at 10 am after a 7am workout either. But I was also a lot younger so maybe my body metabolized better then. The big difference now with my diet is that i'm eating more saturated fats and not being afraid of them. I was low fat prior to a couple years ago. Always have been 1gram to 1.2 grams of protein for the past 25 plus years. And I've always been low to ultra low carbs for that amount of time also. When I was bodybuilding I learned from greats like Rick Valente, Robby Robinson(when he trained in Berkeley), Tony Pearson. I used to train with these guys in L.A at Gold's gym in Venice. They helped me with my diet back then. I did what they did.!! Very typical BB diet, but we always had a cheat day of carb, and the night before a competition it was always high gi, candied yams were a big YES. Veins always popping, even on a girl!!Keifer has layed out all the sciene of eating carbs post workout and in the evening. It's been an AHA moment. Like, OH! That's why this was working, now I get it!!!I look forward to getting inspired by all of you here to continue pumping out recipes and getting it more organized on my blog. It's nice to know that there are people who may even appreciate it. Not sure if you'll actually like my stuff! But I'm hoping you can be taste testers and help me make more treats that everyone will enjoy. I love baking and creating. I may just move away from PT and instead become a foodie blogger for losing bodyfat!!!I'm on FB more than the forum. Feel free to message me.Cheers!Debby 🙂 🙂

PS: I decided to go strict CNS a couple months after my shoulder surgery which was in May ,because I was too low fat and my body wasn't recovering and I needed to force myself to eat carbs. I was always carb phobic after I stopped competing in BB and went in spurts of eating them but for many years not enough to support my training because for a while I just stopped having weekly cheat meals all together. So CNS allows me to refuel my body once a week, and twice if I feel like I need it, and force me to NOT mess up my metabolism, which I think I was starting to slow down by not eating enough fats or carbs when I needed them. It also helped me recover from my surgery, with digestion, since I was forced also not to eat such large quantities of veggies but also eat more saturated fats. 10 cups a day  of veggies was normal for me, along with all the protein I was eating. I know my body so well that I can pretty much know what is affecting it by what I'm eating. It's always been very regulated. I'm like a control study of myself!!

Hi Debbyk,I do a lot of marketing in my job and have created several blogs in WordPress.com so would be happy to try and help. Most of these sites are run using free standard templates so not sure if you have something more bespoke in mind that would require development? The WP GUI is fairly intuitive, but if it is just a case of setting it up I'd be happy to help. I'm not bad with Photoshop so graphics wise give me an idea of what you want to achieve and I will try and set some time aside to help.ThanksRuss

Hey Kay, Thnks for connecting. I went to your blog. It's great! So many of your recipes are inspiring me. I hope I can make my blog as great as yours. It's so great that we can all connect nd share our recipe and help each other. I too had bad stomach issues.Through a lot of research and cutting out stuff I got it pretty much under control. I think trauma and stress in life are one of the major factors..I've been gluten free for over 15 years. I'll be sure to download the ebook.Big Tex, thank you for your complements. I've loved to cook since I was a kid. I think this blogging may be my niche. A great way to re invent myself after my surgeries while I can't train as hard or train people. I appreciate your offer for the website/blog. Are we all friends on FB and following on twitter? My twitter is @debbykfitnessRussB, can you FB me? My real email is debkaplan@sbcglobal.netWould love to connect with all of you.I have a couple templates of other food bloggers that I've seen that I like. I just need to find the theme and have someone help me set up and transfer content from my other blog. Question: I'm not getting updates when there is a reply on the forum. What do I need to do so it doesn't take me 2 weeks to get back to you and you all think I'm rude by not replying!!!My pumpkin tartlets will be coming this weekMonday eve I'll try some new recipes for gluten free. It's a carb nite!!Big Tex, Heard you on the biojacked radio. Love your southern accent!!Looking forward to the fB and twitter connections. Feel free to email me too!debby 🙂 🙂
