lewism6Memberhttp://suppversity.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/leucine-supplementation-exemplifies.html?m=1Am I reading this right...if density bulking and fat gain isn't an issue crack on with leucine supplementation. If dropping body fat is the goal then drop the leucine. Study is on rats obviously- are there human studies that someone can point me to that argues against this?Cheers.

Trevor G FullbrightModeratorMy N=1 has shown better results by using leucine throughout the day.I take it 3 times a day in between meals while doing a mixture of CNS/CBL and my workouts are better and I'm seeing better recomp.

4-5g I don't each time, but it's roughly that amount.Normally I break my 12 hour fast with it, eat lunch a few hours later, have it again at work, then again during training.

Scope75GuestMight try something like that next month. After being on CNS for 4 weeks I'm getting the itch to start dialing shit in and adding in a different things. I'll probably ride out another 4 weeks of old school CNS and then let the games begin.

Richard SchmittModeratorI do the same thing. Normally my fast is broken with my PWO Shake, then AM Shake (with Leucine) and Leucine again between lunch and dinner. 3-4g each time

lewism6MemberSo are all 3 of you saying that article is a pile of crap and isn't a reflection of your personal experience with leucine? Can I ask where your between meals leucine protocol came from? Cheers.

I'd heard about it multiple places, including Kiefer mentioning it somewhere, but this is what finally made me say lets try it.http://bodytypenutrition.co.uk/blog/the-leucine-protocol/

Go HeavyParticipantSo the so I take it the benefits from leucine outweigh the negatives(such as raising insulin levels) at times other than PWO/backloading?

Yes!!!Timed spikes are ok and the spike isn't bad because there isn't any carbs around.

Richard SchmittModeratorYep, would you believe I took Leucine during the day? Even with an AM Shake in the mornings and in-between meals?
February 17, 2013 at 8:35 pm #145693
Scope75GuestThis coming week I'll toss some leucine in my mouth after my am workout and see if it helps out any.

These are different and there isn't any carbs around and the spike isn't long.
