so wait, i didnt think we wanted spikes throughout the day, unless of course post workout or on our actual CN.helpppp! im confused

From page 97 of CBL....All good things come with a price, and for leucine, it is the ability toraise insulin levels independent of blood sugar. Other amino acidsonly increase insulin secretion in the presence of ample amounts ofblood sugar, but not leucine4, making it difficult to include duringthe low-carb portion of Carb Back-Loading. During the nighttimecarb-up, however, leucine gives us the advantage of enhancinginsulin release from a meal.

so again, taking it during a backload is ideal...not 3-4x a day on an ULC day. no?

I think it's gonna depend. I've been taking in multiple times a day, both on full ULC days and on re-feed days and it hasn't stalled results at all. If anything it's accelerated results.

So spiking insulin pre-bed via whey/leucine would be better than having a protein/fat meal pre-bed on a ULC day?

I understand that.  I just mean in general - even on ULC days its a good idea to spike insulin pre-bed via some protein and leucine?

Are y'all just using it on ULC days? Or do you use it during the ULC portion of backloading days? Seems like the spike would throw off the natural rhythm during ULC portion of backloading days
