CBachelor17MemberOk, after over two months of CN, Ive decided to go to CBL. This is because I started CNS at just below 10% BF weighing around 165 with 147LBW, no definition in abdominals is the reason I wanted to CNS, so I could cut the last few stubborn pounds still hanging onto my stomach. Ive been stuck at 162 for weeks, with no visible body changes (I am 21 72″ tall, Endomorph, and was morbidly obese from pre teens until about 20 years old. “285lbs was my max weight”) I would like to start CBL but after reading the book I have questions on the calorie intake. Right now on CNS Im running around 2100-2250 a day. 180-200 protein and the rest in fat. Keeping my macros at 60%fat 40% protein. Im hoping to run the CBL SA protocol, and loose the fat needed. As i weight train 3, sometimes 4 days a week,(am only) have 1 “off day” HIIT session, and do only HIIT the day after my CN. My question is, if I can somehow change my schedule to train PM, do my weight training days on consecutive days, (Example: Monday-Chest/Tricep Tuesday-Lowerbody Wednesday-Bicep/Back Thursday-HIIT Friday-HIIT and maybe an isolated shoulder routine then the weekends off) Backloading after each weight training session, what should my total daily goals be? I have my ULC portion from the back of the book, but should i be looking to hit maintenance? or be at surplus to gain muscle? Wondering if that will lead to fat gain. It is just not stated clearly in the book so I'm looking for experienced persons to give some ideas on how to go about this transition. Thanks!

Richard SchmittModeratorHave you checked out the charts that Ibob set up to be used with CBL SA? It can help set a baseline for the macros needed. Also have you watched the Q&A CBL video? That can also help set a base for the carb intake. For protein try to get at least 1g/BW fats will need to be worked with but Backload days try to get .5-.75g and ULC days strive for .75g if not higher. Ultimately you'll need to be higher in calories for muscle gain.
