Thanks to everyone who had a go at guesstimating my BF%! Shokat & WhereIsMyBacon, regarding your comments – thank you, yes it has occurred to me that my current BF% is probably the healthiest & most fertile as it is now.I'm not sure if this is a myth: "Your body needs to have at least 22% body fat on it in order for your menstrual cycle to remain normal." But I've read it in a few places. Some days I feel very happy about how my body looks, and other days not so much. It would be nice to get it to a point where it just constantly looked great 🙂So yeah. It's an ongoing debate for me.

I think the lowest that a female can go, and remain fertile, would be 18%.  From what I've read before. You look ~18-19% to me, right now.  At most 20%... but that might be a stretch.I guess, find a look you want to obtain, with measurements you want, and go for that.  Get a clear, concise 'goal' body to shoot for.  😉You gotta have a vision.  😉Cory

That's not entirely true, Cory. When I got pregnant I was 16% body fat. As long as a woman does not stop menstruating she is still fertile. Even female athletes that are below 14% ovulate, they just don't have normal menstruation cycles...There are MANY reasons a woman can stop menstruation, one of which is low body fat, others are poly cystic ovarian syndrome. BL: if you're worried go see a doctor. If fertility is your goal, get it checked out. Fairy, dont take offense but I don't think you're near the BF range where you should stop menstruating/being fertile. You have a great body!! If you want to be more muscular, keep it up.

Good point, just going by what I read.  However, the current Ms. O Bikini is implying pregnancy on FB... and she can't be more than 9-10% b/f (competition weight).  There is always an exception to accepted belief.Cory

    I'm guessing 16-17% Monsoon

Maybe, hard to tell.  Could be upper teens, low 20's.  No offense Monsoon, but your LBM looks quite a bit lower than Fairy's.Just stating it as I see it.Cory

^^Yes I've always been a hard gainer as far as muscle goes.

You may do quite well on CBL, quite well indeed. If you are a hard-gainer w/ muscle, you are likely so with fat as well (ectomorphic somatotype).Cory

Yes indeed, ectomorph. I am toying with the idea of CBL, however I love carbs so much I'm afraid I might go a little crazy with the backloads if I'm doing it 3-4 times a week.  ;D

I was 12% in my avatar photo. I still got my period there and I was LEAN. Infact, you can go to my website, http://www.danalynnfit.com  Thats me at 12%. I would say you are around 16% in that photo, Fairy.

Hi!I would really appreciate some evaluation of my BF% in order to decide which route to take1. continue CBL+ SW-Heavy Duty2. or switching back to CNS + SW 1.4To high of a BF% and CBL isn't working is good for minimizing fatgain while building muscle, correct? So do you think my BF% is to high for CBL or am I good to go?Ultimate goal: 8-10 % BF with a lot more muscle, a´la Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Craig "James Bond".Note: This picture is taken today monday 21 januari, after having done the prep-phase along with SW regular, and then a week of SW-Heavy Duty with 2 CBL's, one on Chest-day and one on Back-day. Last CBL was two days ago.

I would put you at 15%You seem to store more fat around your gut. This could be because you're not getting proper sleep or managing stress properly. I think you should do CNS every 5 days, and train heavy 4 days a week until your body fat is lower / more even. Then switch to CBL

Yeah, I've always been this way, storing most of my fat around my belly unfortunatly. I'm working nightshifts in a restaurant 3-4 nights per week right now, so getting proper sleep is a bit of a puzzle.Right now, I'm training 5 days a week using the Shockwave 1.4/HD protocols (1.4 for 2 days legs and core, and HD for the three other workouts, chest, shoulders and back). Is this too much do you think? Should I switch to a more fullbody/upper-lowersplit-type program using an A-B-off-A-B-off-off approach? I used Propane Fitness protocol before Shockwave and liked it. Thanks for the response and advice by the way!
