Hello DH members, I am planning to start GVT (0GERMAN VOLUME TRAINING (10×10)) in collaboration with CBL. So what do u guys think about? I workout 6 days a week and making some really nice gains with CBL but i wanna put some more mass as i have a competition coming in September so i wanna get ripped fast and pack on some muscle. I heard that GVT has the power to pack on up-to 10 pounds in 4 weeks. Any advice will be much appreciated. cheers

It would be awesome for CBL, and it is a brutal and great program. My only advice is make sure your on top of your food intake cause if you try to cut cals at all while doing it you will crash and burn for sure. Good luck!

Sorry to burst your bubble but that is a bunch a bullshit.  Eating and recovering govern actual gains..... so if u do the program (or any program for muscle building) and dont eat you wont gain.....  hell people who take the real shit are lucky to get those gains in 12 weeks.... if they can even maintain them after that.  I would say if u r currently getting gains dont change things till progress stalls.  Of course if u just want to add ten pounds in 4 weeks to your FUPA then i would say yes thats possible.

I think GVT MIGHT be able to put on 10 pounds in 4 weeks if the trainee is new.  Or an Olympic lifter that has previously done NO hypertrophy work, which is whom the program was designed for.  I'm saying it would be pure muscle mass, but I think 5 lbs of muscle and couple pounds of water would be reasonable for someone in the situation I described.Although I disagree with it's use for CBL.  I don't think the weights are heavy enough.  I believe 60% of your max is used for 10 reps and that won't really do the job.  You best be doing assistance work along with it (which I think the program reccomends against). If you do this program, I would do some PSR sets then transition to the 10x10.

I meant solid ass muscle... No water.I always say yes to cbl because of the simple fact that it works better than eating carbs six times a day and all that mainstream bs advice that gets passed thru the grape vine,  dont you?

So 60% of your max for 10×10, wont be enough for a backload…really?

I know you meant 10 lbs of muscle, but the program doesn't claim where that 10 lbs would come from and their claim isn't that unrealistic under the right circumstances.  Clever marketing I suppose.Well yea better CBL than a traditional BBer diet, but I think this program will not work well with CBL if the goal is fat loss.
