AdamFiddlerKeymasterGone from 12ish % BF down to 7% or lower on CBL (or CarbNite for that matter)? I see a lot of posts and results from about 20% down to 14% or so, and I've gone from about 14% to 8.5% using CBL, but the only story I've actually seen of somebody getting super lean on CBL is Kiefer himself. Are there other examples floating around this board or that you know of? -Adam

pshannonMemberHow long did it take you to go from 14 to 8? What did your training look like?

BenjaminDMemberIf you are suggesting that 8% bodyfat isn't lean, then I'm inclined to disagree with you. For the average guy, that's pretty rock solid!

AdamFiddlerGuestpshannon: I don't remember the exact dates, but it was about six to seven weeks. I saw the best results in terms of fat loss when I was AM fasted training every day. In general, my training was pretty much every day, though I had to back off after awhile due to overtraining (which I don't attribute to the frequency, but to the fact that I didn't understand how to program intensity in a wise way when doing high frequency training.) I ate the exact same foods every day, and was making sure to eat in line with Asprey's BP Recommendations (i.e. backloads were whipped yams, all other foods were either grass-fed beef, avocado, grass-fed butter, etc.)@Benjamin:I agree 8 percent is lean, but for a guy who trains some of the most ripped fitness competitors in the world (Kiefer), I'm really starting to wonder about the specifics he utilizes beyond a basic CBL template. I think his program is great, and I don't doubt these are the principles he uses on all his clients (and himself), I'm just kind of wondering how exactly he does it and if there are specific examples out there. I should also probably buy his book, as this might help 😀-Adam

zewskiMemberWow, kudos on getting to 8% without the book! You are correct, Kiefer uses special tricks with all his clients to get them stage ready. However I doubt he'll share them on the forums for two reasons. For one, there'd be no point in hiring him if he told us everything ;), but also because each client requires different tweaks and what he does for one client he wouldn't do for another. In other words, you wouldn't be able to use the same protocol that his female figure clients use. Nor would you get the same results Kiefer gets by doing it the way Kiefer does it. The reason Kiefer's clients get such great results is because they have the luxury to tailor the program specifically to their individual needs. I would suggest submitting your question during the upcoming webinar since it will be mainly about training. I'm sure there are some tricks he uses to get people from lean to STUPID SHREDDED!!!Again great progress!

AdamFiddlerGuestThanks zewski, I'm more than the 8.5% I got down to at the lowest, as right after that I decided to do some experiments with Intermittent Fasting and had overtrained a bit so took a few weeks off of that. I did Leangains for a very short time just as an experiment (I treat this whole thing as an experiment anyways), and then decided to go back to CBL, but I can say that Intermittent Fasting was great for mental focus. Do you know how to get access to the webinar? Is it free for those who've bought the book or how does it work?-Adam

Jeffrey HansenParticipantHe often mentions the other tricks he uses to get people stage ready. One thing I believe has to do with nicotine gum. Anyone have any ideas how that would be used?

zewskiMemberWhere did you hear/see that? 😮There's a topic posted by Naomi about the webinar, keep an eye for it.

Jeffrey HansenParticipantAbout the gum:in the biojacked episode with the MAT guy, he mentioned how they had overindulged in stimulants the weekend before, all legal, they specifically mentioned caffeine, then the cohost (Amy?) mentioned "and you had that gum" Kiefer said shhh that's for clients only, but it was all legal.I combined that with a recent Rob Wolff podcast where he mentioned he used nicotine gum to help some women lose a certain type of body fat. It was all quick and in passing, but hearing them near each other allowed me to put them together (speculation for sure)

zewskiMemberInteresting. Nicotine's definitely a stimulant so I wouldn't be surprised if it worked. People have definitely done crazier things to get shredded.

zewskiMemberAlso the OP should look into Yohimbine HCL to get from lean to shredded. Apparently, it works well for stubborn body fat.

Thanks Zewski, it's funny you mention that--I actually spent a bunch of time researching some ideas this morning and this definitely came up. What it does is increase blood flow to the adipose tissue when combined with caffeine and also inhibit some of the receptors commonly found in lower adipose tissue and the "stubborn fat" areas. In addition, insulin blocks the absorption of Yohimbine HCl according to some things I read, and it seems to work best on a fasted training program. With that in mind, Kiefer's "Caffeine Therapy" article specifically designed for morning training on CBL and manipulating the circadian rhythm, and a few other things, have a pretty good idea for a protocol now and have the training dialed in so I can get what I want done with my strength. -Adam

Details will be posted as soon as Kiefer figures out what they are. Or not. My guess would be that if details are posted anywhere, it'll be at the last minute.I've unfortunately had to step away from involvement with DH (for the foreseeable future), so don't think I'm being evasive, I'm just trying to fill in communication gaps as best I can.
