    Hi folks, Thought I'd take some time to introduce myself.  I'm originally from Scotland, but live in London at the moment.  I've been training for around 4 and a half years consistently, and decided last year to try and drop some bodyfat to reveal what I'd work so hard to gain.  I have done : Low carb - plateued quickly, and didn't have the knowledge to carry onCarb cycling - plateued again.  Went on a CKD / Skipload - worked really well up until a point, but I'm now tired of the carb hangovers that I had the day after a skipload, plus the gas!  Oh, my, god...the gas!I've read Lyle McDonald's ketogenic diet and UD2.  Found the concepts fascinating, and bought Keifers book to expand my knowledge.  I've also got a under grad level sports nutrition book which provided some foundation for me as well.So I'm now trying backloading.  I found the prep phase relatively easy as I have done keto style diets before, and as I do a lot of HIIT in the mornings I was completely fried after 6 days and lost 5.5lbs.  I'm on day 3 of backloading after having read the book end to end twice, and read lots of forum posts here.  It's a great source of info!Training is DC style (yes I know it's not ideal, but I'm giving it a go for 4 weeks before I go on holiday), and I tend to do a barbell complex (something like Cosgroves evil 8) between 2-4 times a week.I keep a journal over at muscletalk.co.uk if anyone here is a member, and will be tracking my measurements and weight on a weekly basis on a Friday morning.  I'm looking forward to tracking my results, and taking a note of how I feel each day to see if there's a difference from other dieting approaches.  First surprise for me is the fact that I'm able to have my coffee, coconut oil, WPI and almond butter in the morning and not be hungry until 10-11 o'clock!  I've always eaten a breakfast of eggs cooked in coconut oil (...which I now know wasn't a great idea because of eggs propensity to spike insulin!), and skipping it was almost unheard of.  But I'm surviving so far, and enjoying drinking lots of coffee!
