Hi Everyone, Been reading through the forums and I wanted to get some input on my diet. I am planning on doing carb nite for about 2 months to get prepared for a trip to Cozumel. Currently I am at 10-12% body fat at 195-200lbs. My training partner (who is on carb nite) said that I should do 1.5 grams of protien per pound and equal amount (in caloiries) of fat. It would equal about 300 grams of protien a day and 150 grams fat. Resulting in about 2400 calories a day. Before this was consuming about 3000-3500 calories per day with 85% being clean foods. Only really getting a bad meal on the weekend or so. He stated that even though the book says 1:1 that I need a higher protein intake since I lift (powerlifing style) 3-4 days a week and previously ate about 400 grams of protein a day.I also weight train 6-8 hours per week. Haven't previously had a need for cardio so I haven't been doing any. Does anyone agree/disagree with what he said do?My goal is to get to about 8% bf without losing strength. Thanks for any help!
