    Uhm sure, but I highly HIGHLY doubt it will taste as good. You don't have to use Maltodextrin, you could use Dextrose or nothing at all besides Leucine with the Whey.

    I'd just skip the carbs in the shake.  They aren't necessary.

    20-30 g of whey and 5 g of leucine should be enough.

    No, 5g of Leucine added is plenty with whey.

    Isolate and leucine will be fine.  Hydrolysate would be better, but not that much better.
