seasideKeymasterHi everyoneI have been a member for a few weeks and I've peeked around a little but I really don't know what my plan is yet. I just finished a fitness challenge a couple of days ago and I'm interested in CBL but I'm wondering if girls bodies are more finicky about weight gain with it. CNS looks really interesting too but it that for weight loss only? I'll be lifting 4 days a week and occasionally doing some cardio like hill sprints. I'm 5'4" and weigh 116.My current goals are to increase my strength in the weight room: deads, back squats, bench...I'm posting a photo because I'm proud of the hard work I did during the fitness challenge I was in. I'm going to keep my body this way. Any suggestions are appreciated. At this point, I guess I'm asking which book to buy. I tried downloading Shockwave but I get an error-so, I guess that's not happening.Nice to meet you all

systemfMemberPatty, CNS is for fatloss only, exception very luck individuals gain a little muscle. Judging from the picture and your workout log, CBL would suit your needs better. You will need to do some tweaking(forums) but the CBL will be helpful. Mark

Lesli BortzParticipantI think CBL would be the best option – I've personally found that you do have to be careful with going overboard.By the way - you look fantastic!! It would make me wonder why you would switch diets - not that CBL isn't great, but whatever you've been doing has had great results 🙂

FairyGuestYou look amazing Seaside! Congrats on all of the hard work. I don't think you'd have to worry too much about fat gain on CBL because you look like you already have a decent amount of muscle mass and very low body fat

TomahawkMemberWow you REALLY remind me of someone I know. Trust me when I say that is a compliment. It looks like CBL would be better for you. As others have said it will be a matter of dialing the diet in for you. You seem to have the muscle mass to be able to handle CBL. Best of luck and I am sure you will find people to be helpful here.

seasideGuestWow, thanks for the sweet compliments! That's going to make my day 🙂OK, so I'm definitely going to get the CBL book and make it work for me. The reason I'm looking into this is that I really like the idea that I can add foods into my diet that I've been craving for awhile- like a hamburger with the bun. I've been so strict the last 3 months that my family is getting wierded out Hee hee. Time to change it up a bit. Thanks for all the support.

Well, your body looks pretty dialed-in, congratulations! You say you wish to increase your core lifts, so I'd say go with CBL SA.Cory

seasideGuestThanks CoryI don't know what SA is. Is that something I'll learn about in the book?

Cory McCarthyMemberThanks CoryI don't know what SA is. Is that something I'll learn about in the book?
Indeed.SA is the Strength CBL program, where you backload only on the nights you've lifted (pretty much). The other days of the week are Ultra Low Carb (ULC).There is also CBL DB (Density Bulking) for mass, where you backload pretty much every night, just lighter on the nights you are not lifting, with at least one ULC day a week. That's it in a nutshell.Cory

A log / photo log would be excellent! This way, we can critique, keep up with you, see where things may or may not be working (in case you stall), and generally keep you motivated and accountable to reach your goals.Cory
