And a "396lb" lift leads me to believe you use kilogram plates so maybe you just underestimated how much you've been lifting the whole time! LOL

    This makes no sense >_>

When you lift weight plates measured in pounds, when have you ever had "396lbs" on the bar? Probably never. If you lift with plates measured in kilograms, if you had 180kg on the bar you would have 396lbs.I was suggesting this individual was using kilogram plates and perhaps did the math incorrectly, leading to a gross overestimation of his PR. Maybe the original 396lb PR was a lot more than that.

That made sense. And it does sound more likely than a sudden 70kg increase.

I don't doubt you pulled 545 deadlift and I think that's awesome! I just have troube believing it was a 150lb PR based solely on backloading in that time frame. I think either you wqere selling yourself very short on previous attemtps or you unlknowingly fixed a technical issue.I think this is the first time in internet history that someone (me) is acknowleding your heavier PR and doubting the validity of the lighter PR haha!

Hahaha i get what your saying but what change was this I took two days off prior, I backloaded both days , and I fixed my footing and stanced out a little wider and got a better stance all together

HA! Technical correction! I knew it! Good for you though, that's great. Consider yourself lucky; I've been injured and unable to deadlift for a while 🙁

I hate that I got a high ankle sprain back in march and just walked it off because I couldn't stand not being in the gym … I pay for it now

Same story for me except I bulged a disk in the lower left side of my back doing concentric GMs. I pulled 505 afterwards but just WAS NOT getting better by lifting lighter weights so I had so swallow my pride and I've taken about 7-8 weeks off squatting and DLing which I should have done from the very start. Lessons learned, I suppose!

Gotta agree – I have not squatted heavy or done dead-lifts since college football days (8 years ago) – least week (second week of full on CBL) – using shockwave I was able to res-pause at 405lb on my squat and a few days later did the back routine with deadlifts and 3×3 of 405lb and 1×3 of 425lb (@220lbs) – I was pretty damned happy coming in cold turkey and seeing those results – love CBL – and like Kiefer a ton (i'll spare you the bromance)DH - is the S.H.I.T.
