States a money back guarantee.  I only purchased the book because I thought the approach would help me stress less over food, but its done the opposite and I'm starting to think I should follow something different.

Send in a support ticket on Athlete.io or body.io with your order number, name, and email address. They will contact you if they need any more information but that's all I did when I first purchased CBL in 2013 before CN. I got my money back really quickly and turned around and bought CN.Good luck!

Thank you! I am frustrated because I really like keto, but everyone on reddit states no cheat meals EVER so I thought Carb Nite would help me implement forbidden foods into my diet, but it's making me stress more over insulin in the mornings etc.  Idkkkk what I wanna do really.  Just want to drop a bit of body fat while controlling my restrict/binge cycles. 🙁

It's simple, just eat protein and fat. Don't worry to much about insulin spikes that much, just focus on whole foods.Don't fast, try to avoid drinking calories, eat fatty meats or lean meats with veggies cooked in fat, once a week of 6 hours or so you eat foods you have craved during the week.

The easiest answer to your problem would be; stop stressing. Just stop. If you can be conscious about the food you are eating, but not STRESS or worry about those foods, I truly believe anyone can make this work. As you progress, add more knowledge to your portfolio and tweak as you go, but don't worry about these tweaks, and don't worry about learning everything all at once. This is a long journey, and you have a long time to figure this out at your own pace.Whatever you decide, I wish you luck. 🙂

Thank you so much, the both of you. I might just continue on with Carb Nite, I'm still not sure yet.  I feel a little overwhelmed with information at the moment, I was hoping to have everything figured out to start soon.  Overplanning is my key to sticking with something but it can be a real pain in the ass.  Otherwise the tiniest slips make me want to binge and 'start over'. Ugh.I also have 3 boxes of Quest bars I dont know what to do with, I was eating them for breakfast on my rest days.  Would they be detrimental towards the end of Carb Nite?

If I were in your shoes and couldn't give them as a gift to a friend who loves them, or sell them on FB (haha) I would probably eat one in the evening when I'm most insulin resistant on an ULC day. Maybe once or twice a week and only when I know I'm pretty low on carbs for the day.

You might be best served by just following the basics of carb nite (under 30g carbs excluding fibre, one night to eat carbs, repeat). If you still have all those quest bars just eat them as part of your carb nites. Or just save them for post workout until you're done. Either one will work really.

+1This may sound harsh, but is it the diet's fault that you stress over everything?  Just following the 30 g of carb rule and you will be fine.

This is what I was gonna recommend. They aren't great, but they can be used. The make for a decent PWO snack during the week, and can be tasty for carb nite if you don't want to eat total junk.

Very easy to overthink this thing.  I had paralysis analysis when I started.  But I started and I'm probably not a strict adherent, but I'm getting a hang of it and as long as the results are happening I don't feel the need to tighten it up any more than I have to.Got past induction phase, I do CBL when I want to work out, if i go 7 days without a workout (shame on me), then I have a carb night.  I work out with heavy weights (for me) and that allows me to cram some junk into my post workout 1-2 hour backload time.  I know its different for women, but even if you did protein fat most of the day, saved your craving / junk food for post workout, and tried to work out with increasingly heavy weights... as long as you were somewhat restrained in the amount of junk food you ate... you would probably see benefits.  Induction phase is hard.  I've seen my kids benefit without an induction phase, but you can't change your diet very radically... no increased fat, probably not increased junk food... but with them I try to make them eat fat and protein only through after school.  They can then have junk before/after practice.  Its far from ideal but I'm not wanting them to go full blown ketogenic, but my guess is with their level of activity it is putting them into ketosis occasionally.  Anyway my kids have tightened up with what is a modified SAD diet and some CBL / CNS principles thrown in.Now I've clean up my backloads and my cravings have changed dramatically (chocolate chip jar no longer calls my name ; (, but from time to time I go for some full fat ice cold non-homogenized A2 milk with the best donuts in town.  And yes I know where all the best donuts are!  Over time you'll understand more as you tweak things... but it probably doesn't have to be perfect to start out.Yes I'm a bit of a heretic and non-hardcore adherent but I've been very happy with it.
