dreamagainKeymasterI see some of you guys saying you eat a dozen or more eggs a day, with bacon and cheese and I get the feeling I'm not following the right diet lol.I'm supposed to eat 1 gram of protein and .5 gram of fat for my desired weight, right? So if my desired weight is 150 i'm eating 150 grams of protein and 75 grams of fat a day. Am I not doing this correctly? It's impossible for me to keep a good protein:fat ratio by eating so many eggs/bacon/cheese.

MikehrMemberYeah that is right and some guys are just bigger so they have to eat more to compensate for their LBM and training. I am an example I weight 190 if i ate 190g of protein and 90g of fat thats only 1570 cals i would lose a pound or two a day and probably die lol ITs just a starting point start around there and adjust depending on your goals, i would say if your training a lot then you need to be closer to 1:1 in grams of fat and protein

My meat intake is roughly 1lb-1.5lbs a day. I'm trying to get around 180g worth of protein with 85-90g worth of fat as well.

Richard SchmittModeratorWhoa! You're eating like that? I'd figured you would eat more than I do. The cuts of meat I found work best is getting minor amounts of 85/15 and Cube Steak. I'm going to experiment with Eye of Rounds

Well i meant about laying off the bacon and eating the eggs and capping the meat to about 1-1.5lbs. Of course i eat fish/turkey and other stuff too but breakfast is about 4 chz eggs anf half are egg whites. Pretty similar i thought

Richard SchmittModeratorGotcha. Yeah my thinking is that bacon is great once in a while due the fat-protein content instead of protein-fat content. If that makes sense.
