If I am 5.7 and 140 lbs and NOT sure of my body fat percentage…how do I actually figure out the appropriate macros to mobilize fat?

Clearly I am stay under 30grams of Carbs
What about Protein and Fat? If I am currently working out 3x/week doing Bret Contrera’s strong lift for beginners.
What if I wasn’t working out? does it make a big difference?

    Thank you

It would really depend, I would suggest using 1g/BW for protein and you could match that with fats, or work with .65g/BW. Then adjust fats from there if you feel exhausted and/hungry. Finding out your body fat could very well help even more because carbs could even play a factor.

Just look in the mirror and take a best guess comparing yourself to pictures found here: http://www.vitalitypower4u.com/ericfrank/nutrition-and-dieting/body-fat-percentage-pictures-of-men-women/

This should help in dialing in close to recommendations Tex is suggesting.

I have the same issue of trying to figure out my macros. I have a desk job but I lift 3x per week. Where should I even begin with the macros? Should I start with the same numbers as listed above?
F, 45% BF and about 60 lb to lose.

It could be something to start with, maybe increase fats to match protein.

Are we talking in the context of CBL or CNS?

I was talking about Carb Nite. I wanted to make sure I start it right considering I have a significant amount to lose.
