Good names connected to this thread, and it is related so I wanted to avoid creating a new one for no reason. I think I'm done with CNS. And by think I mean I am, Ill probably just do one or two more ( for timing reasons). The question at hand is prep for CBL. Obviously the longer I wait after my last CN the sh*tier my performance is going to be for my first BL. But I want to make sure I'm good and peeped to start CBL. I was thinking just a standard 7 days. And modify my training schedule for the week. Do a HIIT the day after to get burning again. Then take a few rest days and do back-chest- and finally legs on the night of my first BL. Any thoughts?

What about just skipping your last CN and going straight into backloading? So if your "last" CN is supposed to be Saturday, but you want to begin CBL Monday, just stay ULC Sat and Sun, then do the best you can with what you know will likely be a poor-performance workout on Monday, smash a bit of extra carbs than you would in a normal backload, then Tuesday proceed as normal.

Good idea. Just a little scared to go to many days ULC. Im pretty lean already which is why I want to switch to CBL. By day 6 on CN im already a ball of shit compared to the first few days after CN anyway. So 8 days ULC is a scary zone haha.

Perhaps drop in a random workout on the night of your "last CN," pound yourself (yeah, you'll suck) then do a medium-large backload, 2 days later, begin CBL? Just another option, without having to play with the evil HIIT beast, ha.

Good idea. I always kill myself on the night of my CN. So im use to struggling in 1 session a week. Maybe Ill just take it from 6 days to 7. Use the last two days to rest and go in and hammer the weights hard as I can and have a large BL. If you remember the discussion the other day on a previous thread. Im going to do a “transition into CBL.” So my next one wont be for 2 or 3 days anyway.

Sounds perfect to me, hopefully it goes smoothly!

Ugh thought of this in class today. The idea of the CN is to get the 6 hour insulin spike to re-regulate leptin and other hormones. So should my first "transition backload" be the full 6 hours, then my next in 2 or 3 days be the standard BL timing? Im thinking it should be the full 6 just so I make sure im regulated, but on the other hand the CBL prep phase is 10 days and the spike isnt 6 hours long... confused!

    Me thinks you're overthinking! 😉

It's only one day. Even if you did it completely wrong, what's the worst you're going to do? Gain a half pound of fat? You'll be good. Don't stress it too bad, even mental stress that people just "ignore" effects us physiologically. You're gonna be fine. I'd just play your first backload by feel. Workout. Eat. Hungry? Eat again. Hungry again? Eat again. Until bed. Next backload, try to shoot for your intended macros and time window.Just get out of your head!  😉
